I didn't care for the show, but that one track they released sounds AMAZING. I expect this will be a great recording.

I wish I could see the revival.  Tonya Pinkins singing "Lot's Wife" remains one of the most thrilling and transcendent moments I've ever seen on stage.  Sharon D. Clarke sounds amazing on the recording.

I can see it’s available to purchase on iTunes (for those that have an early Timezone account). However, it doesn’t appear to be on Apple Music to stream. This is typical of the record label right or can we expect to stream it somewhere?

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Listening to Lot’s Wife makes me wish we were being given a recording with Sharon Brown as Caroline.  Clarke sounds fine, but I’m still not over Brown’s brilliant performance.

Completely agreed - Sharon Brown's vocals with this score were simply phenomenal and was definitely stronger than Clarke all around IMHO

So far it’s a strange listen for me. The original cast is too familiar and I just keep hearing their voices while listening to this.
 

The artist credits on iTunes are not accurate. Among other mistakes Nasia Thomas is credited as singing “Lot’s Wife.”

Also if they can record and release this double album in just 4 weeks no other cast album has any excuse to take any longer ever. This is quite a feat to have it out this fast sounding as good as it does. I’m just not sure I personally needed another recording of this score. I can’t see myself choosing to listen to this cast over the original.

I was wondering about the credits since it seems like all the Noah tracks have Adam listed but I thought all three Noah’s were part of the recording.
 

Does anyone have any experience with credits being updated after making an iTunes purchase? Wondering if they get updated automatically or if I’ll need to delete and re-download.

Loving the new recording. The performances and sounds are sufficiently different for me from the original to warrant. It will not replace the original for me but I will listen to both depending on the mood I’m in :).

It's good, but doesn't get anywhere near the original album.  There's a big, harsh, percussive sound that the original has that this one hasn't completely captured.

I haven’t seen it on Apple Music yet either. I wound up just buying it. 
 

I’ve got to say, I’m really happy to finally be able to clearly hear ALL the parts in the songs where multiple people are singing.

Hi all, Robbie from Broadway Records here. Our digital aggregator messed up the metadata after the album was submitted, causing actors names to jump up one song randomly throughout the album - we are working closely with them to get that fixed immediately. If you bought the album on iTunes, it should change itself automatically when it does. The same aggregator somehow did not deliver to Apple Music, but it should have. It should appear there soon.

Good for Broadway Records for making this happen so quickly and so well!

I'm doing a cursory listen over some of the big tracks- it sounds great. Glad to have the vocals of this ensemble preserved. Not sure it'll supplant the OBC in my listening- I particularly think that Clarke's "Lot's Wife" pales on recording in comparison to Pinkins' tremendous, volcanic take- but very happy it exists. I love Tamika Lawrence's Dotty so much.

There is a stripped down quality here that really works for me. Tempos feel a bit slower, orchestrations a bit simpler, vocals given space for their lyrics to land in the many counterpoint sections. 

I also don't just knee-jerk hate this Rose. I know on the OBC that's the point, but her arc is stronger to me when she is a bit more sympathetic. She is in over her head and makes a series of bad choices and doesn't see why she's wrong, but she really is at heart trying to help.

Not a surpassing of the OBC but an excellent companion.

It doesn't - presumably that's YouTube premium, which I don't have? Or maybe it's content just available in the US. On Spotify it shows me the album, but when I try to play any songs other than "The Chanukah Party" it says "content not available" - and I do have Spotify premium, so I'm not sure why that's happening.
