As I said, If they're willing to sacrifice a name, Bernadette would be a great Stepmother.
I'd rather see Joanna Gleason in that role.
They can both play Rapunzel's twins. Give 'em big "South Park" heads sticking out of baby blankets.
Only if they can be conjoined twins who sing "Who Will Love Me As I Am"

I agree let gleason be the stepmother, and bernadette the giants wife. On another thought Ana Gasteyer just somewhere, please, as the bakers wife or witch or whatever she wants.
Fergie's stunning vocal was one of the few highlights of Nine; the thought of her as the Witch is intriguing.
People aren't even talking about the real important question here:
WHO will play Snow White and Sleeping Beauty??

Fergie is a good idea too. And one in the approiate age range.
Fergie would probably be pretty damn good... although I hate to say this, because I admire her voice, but her face is not exactly "youth and beauty." The meth abuse is still clearly evident in her facial structure, and considering that this point has been talked about enough in connection with Fergie to be a pretty common bit of "trivia" on her, i worry that her lines about restoring her beauty would come across as ironic, and not genuine.
On the other hand, Gaga does not have a conventionally attractive face, but her facial structure has proved malleable enough with makeup and SFX that, without ever making her look "not like Gaga," she can appear natural and attractive, glamorous and gorgeous, or TERRIFYING.

I didn't know about the meth addiction, but i believe enough people still beileve she is very beautiful. what's more many of the women who will see this will think they would fight for youth and beauty if youth and beauty made them look like fergie.

Gaga has to be Amnaris, that is all. The role and her connection with Elton John could not be more perfect, heck he should play her dad.
For or OBC Cameos, Chip Zien as the Steward, Joanna Gleason as Cinderella's Stepmother, and Bernadette Peters as The Giant's Wife.

I disagree about amneris, mainly because from what we've seen she can't be funny, something amneris has to have in reserves, it's part of what inderes her to the audience.
The few jokes Amernis does have are really corny and should go. That character needs to be written for a movie version for sure.

Yes, and then she can be a boring third wheel that the audience will hate, and wonder why they have to hear, or see so much of. I'm not saying there great but i'm saying she needs the comedy, it makes the sadder moments that much better for an audience. And with a role like amneris that can so easily be ignored/problematic, we really can't afford to do that.

Last amneris suffers from low self esteem, what do alot of people with low self esteem do? They try to be funny to get people to notice, pay attention, and love them. This is also the reason for her clothes fixtation. In short yeah, she kinda DOES need to be funny.

I changed my mind.
I want Kate Winslet to be the Witch:
Watch this and think "Children Will Listen" and "Stay With Me"

And of course, this, which just cracks me up:

So many good choices i don't enzy the casting director charged with casting THAT part.
I have two lists here. One is solely based on drawing in big box office numbers, and the other is for a little thing called talent.
BOX-OFFICE CAST:
The Baker-Adam Sandler
The Baker's Wife-Angelina Jolie
Cinderella-Kristen Stewart
Cinderella's Prince-Robert Pattinson
Rapunzel-Kate Hudson
Rapunzel's Prince- Brad Pitt
Jack-Justin Bieber (PLEASE I hope that never happens)
Jack's Mother-Helen Mirren (Not that she isn't talented, because she is. I just don't think she seems right vocal-wise)
Little Red-Abigail Breslin
Narrator/Old Man-Christopher Plummer
Giantess (because the giant's a woman!)- Meryl Streep
TALENT LIST:
The Baker-Patrick Wilson
The Baker's Wife-Catherine Zeta-Jones (Not right for Desiree on stage, but might actually make a decent Baker's wife on screen, considering her range)
Cinderella-Kate Winslet (I would say Anne Hathaway, but Kate has proven to be a good soprano)
Cinderella's Prince-Ewan McGregor
Rapunzel- Reese Witherspoon (Great actress, and would be lovely to see if she can do well with the high notes)
Rapunzel's Prince- James Marsden (Watch Enchanted...'Nuff said)
Jack-Freddie Highmore (In honesty, I couldn't think of anyone young enough and talented enough to play Jack, expect him)
Jack's Mother- Julie Walters
Little Red-Chloe Grace Moretz (Only seen bits of acting in TV spots and trailers for a couple of films, but she seems like a talented little girl and could probably do well with Red)
Narrator/Mysterious Man-Michael Caine (Talented actor from overseas, and I know he can sing decently, and since the role is more acting than singing...Well..I think he'd be good)
Giantess-Judi Dench (Talented older actress and everybody knows her pretty well, and I'm sure Woodsers would be happy to hear a familiar voice)
You have the nerve to seriously list Kristen Stewart to play one of the best roles ever written in the American musical theater?
I need a block function IMMEDIATELY.

I need one for the CZJ bakers wife, it seems since chicago she forgot how to sing. Plus she in no one has some of those high notes, or anything close.I repeat gasteyer for the bakers wife.
As I said, Kristen Stewart was simply meant as Box-Office possibility. I personally would rather eat dirt and drink a gallon of vinegar before I see her play Cinderella. By the way, Into The Woods is one of my favorite musicals, and this was solely my opinion. Feel free to disagree, but don't hate on my choices when this is meant for fun.
