Are you talking about the people checking vaccine cards for audiences or the COVID safety officers working with the cast and crew at each show?
For the latter there were some job postings here and/or on playbill.

Lol. That is what the security guard does at my mother's nursing home.

To my knowledge, there is no thermometer or questions; it's just show me you vaccine passport or card and ID if not integrated. I don't think one needs a PhD in biochemistry.

Being large and having a military/law enforcement background seems to be desirable. I got my vax from the military - this always seems to go over well with them.

There’s a training course (depending on what theater you work at), but other than that, there are no special qualifications whatsoever
