A brief run down at the best responses within this thread that have brightened my otherwise dull day:
Phyllis Rogers Stone: Oh, just shut up.
Phyllis Rogers Stone: BECAUSE CARRIE UNDERWOOD SAVED CHRISTMAS
PalJoey: Why are we still discussing this?
TheaterDiva90016: Well, I'm glad you spoke up, because I don't think the last 26 pages was enough.
Phyllis Rogers Stone: NEVER FORGET
You guys rock!

People are clamoring to get a piece of the cash cow and want to continue to exploit CU.
I hope she is wiser about it this time or least stays in 'tinsel town'.
"But she's the toast of Tinsel-Town right now. She's gotten offers for doing everything from TV guest spots to feature films, and she's being urged to move to Los Angeles so she can focus on pursuing big-ticket acting roles."
Carrie Underwood 'fearful of haters'

If she's smart she'd go get some acting lessons. The talent is there, it just has to be honed. I'm pretty sure with lessons under the right instructor she could eventually turn this around in her favor. Everyone know she already has the vocal chops.
I wouldn't count her out.
There are a lot of actresses who have made less-than-stellar acting debuts who have gone on to become highly respected actresses.
Jessica Lange comes to mind.

^ I agree with all of that. But she has to want it, and it would take a lot of work on her part. It's up to her. I can tell she has the dedication and drive to succeed ... but I can't tell if she has the desire.
If I were her, I would look at it this way ... the acting lessons will only enhance her singing as well. She's already huge as a singer, and she doesn't "need" them. (Most singers today don't act songs so much as stylize them with faux riffs and growls. Faked emotion through gimmicks.)
I hope she does it. Maybe a few years down the road, she'll star in Norma Rae: The Musical or Places In the Heart: The Musical (actually, that would be a really good role for her).
Time will tell.

Posted: 12/30/13 at 11:52amShe dominates country music. Why would she want to venture into that field? Plenty have done it; such as Reba. But Carrie doesn't have the charisma and presence that Reba has.
