Of the cast recordings you've bought over the last year, which do you feel were the best choices?
I got a ridiculous array of iTunes gift cards for Christmas, so I bought nine cast recordings... not all of which I feel were necessarily a great usage of my money. But I'm so happy that I got the OBCRs for Ragtime, Light in the Piazza, and Evita. (Yeah, odd combination, I know.)
Wow, Its hard for me to remember what I bought... but I know for sure, if I don't remember what exactly I bought, I do know I bought La Cage and do not regret it AT ALL! :)
Little Fish.
The new Oliver! cast recording. I can't stop listening to it. Does this year count though? I'm confused...
Once its released, I know the answer will be Next To Normal, but besides that...
Definitely Bat Boy and Songs For A New World. Not sure how it took me so long to get those two, but I adore them both.

My most recent cast recording is the Marvelous Wonderettes. I enjoy it so much. According to me amazon.com account I've only bought two for myself in the past year. Marvelous Wonderettes and A Catered Affair. Gosh, is that it? I've bought others for my sister. I, also, bought Natalie Toro's solo album which rocks.
Paul Byrom's solo album has some Broadway stuff on it and that was a great purchase as well.
In The Heights and South Pacific (LCT revival)
Also very happy with Jason Danieley's solo album and my purchases of older cast recordings such as High Fidelity and Billy Elliot

I'm gladdest I've boughten Passing Strange and LuponeGypsy and can't pick one over the other because they are so different and can't beevaluated for which one is more better.
Also they are the onlycast recordings I've boughten in a year.
In the last year:
The Light in the Piazza (I cannot stop listening to it!!!!)
08 South Pacific Revival
92 Guys and Dolls Revival
My grammar may stink, but I've never said 'boughten' in my life. That's my sister's job. I swear it's her favorite word.
The Glorious Ones
Zorro (London cast), Oliver (2009 London revival) and the new Allegro studio recording.
