Cher and The Temptations at Tonys?

Whats the likelihood that they will perform with their casts? I really have my fingers crossed for Cher!!

Considering the fact that all but one of The Temptations are dead, I would say not very likely in their case.

Hope not. Don’t get me wrong, love Cher, loved the show, but the broadway talent doesn’t need her upstaging them. That stunt was done on Fallon’s show and was fine and good then, for that. Would welcome her in a guest appearance on the Tonys, introducing something from the show or an award. But not in performance. We will see.

David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, or Melvin Franklin performed onstage with the cast of Ain't Too Proud, I think that would likely scare the everloving hell out of nearly everyone at Radio City.

lol. Y'all know there's like 60 Temptations - If they wanted to perform, they could find a couple to join Otis. 

I wouldnt mind Cher performing with the cast.

Cher most likely will just introduce the performance.

From what I’ve seen of their rehearsals, looks like the fashion show sequence will also be included to showcase Tony Award nominee Bob Mackie’s legendary work as well.

Yeah, Cher is introducing the show, but I wouldn't be surprised if she joins them at the end. Curious how much time they were given since they're not a nominee.

All of the original (and early substitute) Temptations, except Otis, have passed away.  The Temptations that perform with Otis, are younger, "fill in" performers.  It is no different than the Four Seasons that perform with Frankie Valli.  They are way younger than Frankie. There were two Temptations groups that performed after Dennis Edwards sued.  Otis owns the name that is why he is able to call his group The Temptations.  Dennis Edwards had to call his group the Dennis Edwards Temptations Revue.

This is what I think will happen as well. Similar to what Gloria Estefan did though that wasn't a surprise performance.
