Cheyenne Jackson for the win!

His One Job Away campaign is one the best things I've seen in ages!

Nice job!!

I think its more of an indictment of the SAG/AEA Insurance System. Could lose your insurance and still be expected to pay your monthly dues. Not for lack of being able to pay them directly to make up the difference but purely based on work salary. Especially people who work split time on stage and film/TV. Is there no means for a collaborative health plan between the two unions?

Re: Cheyenne Jackson for the win!

All the unions are having problems with member health insurance and it F*CKing sucks. I'm a Broadway musician and I'm currently on Cobra, which is more per month than my share of the rent and when I do get back on the 802 plan, the premiums are going up. I guess we've MAGA. đź«©

This isn't what TheatreFan4 is asking, but given the vast differences in stage vs screen work, AEA would probably be better off merging with AGVA, AGMA, and AFM to form one large union of live-performing artists.

Or, you know, we could be a country that doesn't tie your health insurance to your f***ing job.

Or be a country that doesn’t require health insurance to begin with.
