The ensemble was worth watching. Whitney, not so much.
Also, according to Reddit reports, they've increased the rush ticket price during Whitney's run to $79 and standing room is $59. Ridiculous. The show went from having Kate Baldwin, Robyn Hurder and Alex Newell to whatever garbage is up there now.

It’s the only English line the character of Hunyak says in Chicago, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. And what a commentary on modern-day America it is.
The character of Hunyak is based on real-life Italian immigrant Sabella Nitti, accused and convicted of murdering her husband without a shred of evidence. While the musical’s creators used Nitti’s story to frame a warning about xenophobia (she’s the only character in “Cell Block Tango” who is, in fact, innocent), the real Nitti had Helen Cirese in her corner, an up-and-coming attorney who secured a retrial, gave the defendant a makeover, and overturned her conviction. John Michael Fiumara will return to the show and replace Max Clayton. He previously played Fred Casley and will now cover that role. John will return this weekend. Meanwhile. Austin Dunn & Denny Paschall had to split Doctor/The Judge tonight. Mary Claire King has returned to cover Liz while Mikayla Renfrow is out.

of course there's a newbie coming in. Mariah Reives(Gatsby, Funny Girl) is the new Liz. Not sure if she covers any roles as each female lead has two covers already.

Maybe they’ll bump up James T. Lane for a few weeks. He was on for a week while Tam was out presumably sick. He and Whitney probably have a good performance rapport that could carry the rest of her run

Max is very active on his IG, so I'm surprised he hasn't plugged his return. Maybe the new Billy Flynn u/s (Jeff Sullivan) will be on Thursday?
