I'm seeing this next week in DC. Looking forward to it.
Has anyone seen the second national non equity tour? From these promotional videos it doesn't look too shabby for being non-equity. It looks like they have kept the set mostly intact as well. https://www.broadwayworld.com/videoplay/BWW-TV-Attend-the-Ball-with-Highlights-from-the-New-CINDERELLA-Tour-20161010

Speaking from experience (having worked on a NETworks tour many years ago, and knowing people on many other non-Equity tours) just because they have the full set in promo videos does not guarantee anything about what the show will look like in your local venue. There are many venues on these non-Equity tours that will not see the full set, usually because the pieces will either not fit in the space or there is insufficient load-in time.
I'm really interested to see responses to this. When I first looked at the footage, I thought it was from the first national tour, but it appears to be of this new, non-equity cast.

This is 100% the correct answer. It looks like Work Light bought the set from the equity tour, replaced the show deck with a roll-out dance floor, removed the automation, and simplified the flying scenic and lighting package to condense the 6 truck equity tour to a 3-4 truck non-equity.
If you see this in a full week market, you will likely see the tour as presented in the b-roll footage.
If this tour plays your city for 1 night, expect that some of the scenic won't make it in, whether due to space or time. If you want to see what is missing, take a walk to the theater loading dock after the show-The unused scenic pieces will probably be sitting nearby .
Many one-night markets exist in theaters which cannot really accommodate modern touring theater, so you might be seeing a show with 90% of the physical scenery cut, or only 2 of 10 drops that are touring with the show-Something to think about when you are paying equity prices for a one-nighter.
It's (correct) observations like these that make me dislike non-eq shows charging top ticket prices and basically fooling audiences. At the worst, it's bait and switch.
Just for everyone's information, this tour is NOT the same Equity tour that ran two years and ended last May. It is not associated with the NY production in any way.
Are they using the same orchestrations from the equity tour? Or has it been condensed. Dear I ask. Have they added synthesizers?

Last year Jorge asked about the orchestrations, and now I'm curious as well as to if they have altered them. The show opens it's tour this year in my city and I'm a season subscriber so of course, I'm seeing it. I really enjoy the orchestrations in the OBCR so I'd be disappointed if it's too different. Is there anything else not previously mentioned that was scaled back? It's in my city for a full performance week so I should see the full set. Our theatre is certainly big enough.

I saw Paige Faure on tour about two years ago and I saw Tatyana Lubov in the new tour just a few months ago and didn't notice any set changes or orchestral changes at all? Someone commented that the two tours (the one from a few years ago - the one that I saw) and the new one are different, but, I didn't notice any differences. Any differences must have have been small because both tours honestly looked pretty identical to me. Saw both of them from the front row, too, so I did take note of small details.

I saw the OBC and then the tour (with Faure) and I can say it was pretty much the same in terms of orchestra and set design. The only thing really lacking is the grandeur of the ballroom (do they still have those moving candelabras?). But then, the ballroom scene in the Broadway version wasn't all that incredible anyways.
Edit: just read that its nonprofit and not reminiscent of either the previous tour or Broadway. Oops! (Though it gives me BATB networks vibes - show the full set but only use some of each during the tour)

I swear, though, I saw the tour from 2 years ago and just recently again a few months ago and didn't really notice anything different at all. Unless I seriously missed something? My theatre companion with whom I saw the show 2 years ago vs a few months ago didn't notice anything different either. The changes in the two tours must be subtle. Granted, when I saw the tour with Faure, the sets weren't SPECTACULAR either way. Perhaps they weren't even all that grand on Broadway? Saw it with Tatyana Lubov just a few months ago and it seemed almost like a carbon copy of the one with Faure... maybe some things were slightly different and I just didn't notice because it's been 2 years since the last time I saw it and my memory has blurred out some of the smaller details. All in all, though, as someone who saw the US tour when Faure was on board and the current one... I didn't really notice anything different. It seemed to be about the same. I can safely say that any differences were subtle.
