This sounds interesting. A nice bit of exposure for this show, which personally I don't know but am curious about. I hope that some international screenings, a DVD, or similar also eventuates.
Just wondering if anyone here has been to one of these screenings? I'm interested to know what it was like. (I'm not in the US so can't attend one myself.)
For those interested, a New York screening of this has been added to the website list for 20 September:

Thanks for posting the update. I remember seeing the trailer a while back and being very intrigued by the production design.
The script itself takes many more liberties with the source material, and the score, as I remember it, is much lighter in tone and style. Think more operetta than Webber's faux grand opera sound. Even if this version had not been completely overshadowed by Webber's version, I don't think it would have achieved the same level of fame or longevity and kept people from making further musical adaptations the way Webber's has.

I saw this a thousand years ago at the Paper Mill Playhouse. It was totally forgettable.
I was in a production of this and can say it's an awful show. And I'm a huge Yeston fan. But this score is awful. The book is awful. It's all awful.
Nevertheless, it's nice to see that there are more screenings worldwide planned for this, including in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Not much in the way of specifics yet though.

I was kind of disappointed they didn't have more screenings in NYC, as the only ones were during the workday or near Flushing, which I couldn't make it to. Maybe they'll add more but I'm also intrigued by this.
There's a paid streaming option in the works (only available in some regions):

Oh, nice to have that option. Thanks for the link, Fan123.
I'm not sure if this will be relevant to many here, but the Vimeo streaming option has slightly expanded its list of regions in which the stream will be available. For example, Australia is now on there (yay).
This can now be streamed on Tubi for free (legally), for those interested.
