Savion Glover & Tony Goldwyn's production of PAL JOEY isn't dead, despite the abysmal City Center production: Jeffrey Richards (who brought the show to City Center) is producing a workshop of it in May...

Elizabeth Stanley and some of the musical arrangements were the only thing that production had going for it –– and Stanley's role would need a major star if this is to have any prayer of commercial success...
This production of Pal Joey is happening at a well-known regional theatre next season. Announcement on Monday.

Having seen this production at City Center, I hope the audience of this well-known regional theatre is ready to be underwhelmed and disappointed.
So, which regional theatre is doing it?

Out of respect for the folks who asked me to keep it under wraps until the season announcement, I won't say. But it'll be announced on Monday.
Probably Arena or La Jolla.
Since Arena Stage is announcing their season tomorrow, I guess "Pal Joey" will be there. That would be a major disappointment. I am a subscriber to Arena and I hated the revival at Encore. It was dreadful.

La Jolla already anounced shows through to March 2026.

The logical place would be Chicago, since it takes place in Chicago. Also Broadway in Chicago has one show they have not announced yet, set for later this year. This is the only encores show I've ever seen, and I enjoyed it. It's a mess book wise, but I thought the cast was great, and hopefully it has been worked on.
It's Arena, I called that. Damn, I do not want to sit through this again.
