It is 100% happening. Expect an announcement very soon.

Excellent news! Last season seemed to be all about the men, but this season is shaping up to be all about the leading ladies in juicy roles in musicals. Sutton, Audra, Idina, Kristin, Caissie Levy, Ariana Debose, Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Robyn Hurder, Jasmine Amy Rogers, Nicole Scherzinger, Katie Breyban. And god knows what else we might get. But that won’t stop Kad from saying it’s not gonna happen, but it will.

Victoria Clark did an interview with Playbill a few weeks ago and said she had a "really exciting directing project next season which will be announced soon." She directed the Encores production of Love Life that was in rehearsals in March 2020 - I'm hoping they're finally going to do it now that Clark is available.

The Kurt Weill Foundation has already posted online of two upcoming productions of LOVE LIFE. Opera North in Leeds is doing it in January and plans to record the show. The other may be the Encores! rescheduling. More curious to know what other 2 titles are being considered. Anyone know the inside scoop?

Hypothetical: If you were suddenly in charge of the City Center season, what would you bring for the 25/26 year?

So happy that Titanic is going to have a 30 piece orchestra. Plus the cast of 32. I look forward to most of the Encores productions but truly can't wait to see this.

Encores is actually in its 30th year, As being a subscriber since season 1 I can't believe how fast the last 30 years flew by.
Many years ago they use to have a handout in the Playbill asking which shows you would like to see. I have always checked off Ballroom but it has never happened.

Sorry- I thought this was clear. I meant for 2025-2026

Ballroom is a really poor show...2 good songs and that's about it.
I remember filling out an email survey for City Center not long ago. Obviously, these programming decisions are made long in advance as there are so many moving parts, and at this point they've probably got a decent sense of data on types of shows that buyers like and dislike.

Looks like Love Life is only one week which is wise financially.

At this point I never thought they would put it on but in the first 10 years when they were producing a different type of show I thought it would have been perfect.

I didn't clock that they were doing 2 weeks for Ragtime, Urinetown, and Wild Party.
It does give Love Life a bit of an "other" vibe, but hey at least they're doing it. Though unless the cast of Wild Party is incredible I can't imagine it would sell THAT much better than Love Life.

Lilli Cooper is replacing Shereen Ahmed as Kate Murphey in Titanic. Her, Chuck, and Eddie Cooper! Titanic is a family affair!

Do we know the run time for Titanic? When I asked NYCC, their response was “probably the same run time as the Broadway show” which isn’t the most helpful answer. I’ve been checking the website to see if it a run time gets added. Need to purchase my train home and not sure if I’ll make the 5:15 one or take a later train.

Thanks. I just saw this clip on Playbill - that clip has "Ladies Maid" and the chorus singing "Titanic." Went over to hear this entire duet on FB from 10 years ago to really have a good cry. I hope I can hear Ramin sing the entire song at some point.

With eight more voices in that opening chorus it would be perfect.
Alex Joseph Grayson sounds exquisite as always.
