I dont know if anyone had any word or if there were any ways to tell, but does anyone know out of curiosity if any current shows on Broadway will close soon or just when people think certain shows will close?
For example:
Annie
Newsies
Cinderella
Pippin?

Nothing has announced closing. The first thing to close will likely be Soul Doctor.
I don't think anything else will close before mid/late September.

Posted: 8/1/13 at 11:02pmI think Cinderella will run WAY longer than that. It's a gorgeous and fun show, but somebody that's just as good (if not better) is going to have to replace Laura. I wouldn't be surprised if the producers were to decide to stunt cast later on, especially when Carrie Underwood is about to tackle a R&H piece soon. I think she could be a nice replacement

Posted: 8/1/13 at 11:32pmI actually don't think Annie will be closing for two reasons a) it's the perfect show for stunt-casting and b) the new movie version they are doing which will be great for tickets sales when it comes out next year...but we'll see.

Soul Doctor is shockingly playing to 90% houses, so they should get a least a few months out of it, no matter how awful I've heard it may be.
Let It Be looks like it won't last too long and I could also easily see Trip to Bountiful pull back its extension a bit.

Soul Doctor is doing a lot of papering. and I think people are getting cheap or free tickets to see just how bad it is. I am in no rush to see it.
