Murphy missed I think one performance of Lovemusik, and I cannot recall if she missed any performances of People in the Picture. I don't think she habitually missed performances in Passion or The King & I either. Isn't it time to put the Wonderful Town episode to rest? I'm not even a particular fan of Murphy's and I roll my eyes when the inevitable jabs pop up. It's been almost 10 years since Wonderful Town. Time to move on?

Wonderful choice! Very excited for this. Donna was in the ensemble of the original EDWIN DROOD at the Delacorte, so yes, she has done outdoor theatre before. How nice that she's back as a lead now. Classic theater story!

Waiting for this production to open is going to be torturous. Can't wait to see who they finally decide to cast as the Baker. I'm sure with such solid, exciting casting so far, it'll be someone who'll round it out nicely. Hoping the Christopher Fitzgerald rumor is true.

Very excited! I'm actually glad it isn't a huge name outside of the theatre world as it will make it more possible to get tickets. Donna Murphy is a perfect fit.

Excellent! Donna will be wonderful. I don't think anybody seriously has concerns about her attendance - just one poster with a proven track record for causing trouble. The indoor/outdoor argument is simply petty and ridiculous.

I can't wait!

broadway.com interviewed her about playing the Witch and she said that she actually auditioned for the role in the original Broadway production.

Is there anyone else who expects her, as I do, to be uniquely and brilliantly fierce and frightening in the role (without sacrifice to stellar singing and comedy)?
