This is GREAT news!

Sondheim and Sondheim sounds even better now looking at the poster, 10000x better than iSondheim.

Hope they don't change anything!

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Kritzer: "Another Hundred People"

Arden: "Giants in the Sky"

Cook: Anything from Passion

Williams: "Ah, But Underneath", "Could I Leave You?"

Would be wonderful if Stokes were cast so he could do "Now" and Arden could do "Later".

"Broadway...I'll lick you yet!"

I wonder if any gay men are going to see this -- pretty unlikely, huh?

This sounds quite interesting. I do have a question though.

IF the show were to get nominated for Best Musical or win, would it move to a more permanent Broadway theatre? I would imagine it could get extended.

Is studio 54 booked by anything else? Why would they have to move?

They may try to extend it, but I seriously doubt that Cook and Williams would stay with it for any long period of time. Remember when Banderas did Nine, selling out the seats to the rafters? Then when he left and Roundabout said they'd continue the run because the show had been so rapturously receiveed, sales dropped off immediately and the show ran another month (maybe a tad more, but not by much). Ditto when Roundabout announced their intention to tour Pajama Game without Harry Connick (the only reason to see that revival in the first place). Somehow, that "tour" didn't take place. Get real, Roundabout, we're not THAT stupid.

Does Williams have that big of a following? I can understand Harry Connick Jr. and Banderas bringing in a lot of people. I don't know about Williams.

I am SO excited about this. I don't CARE how much tickets cost...at all. It will so be worth it.

ARDEN!!!! COOK!!! WILLIAMS!!!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!!!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I get chills just thinking about how wonderful this will be. I'm eager to hear who else will be in it, though. I know I have a wishlist. :)

Where did that picture come from? I can't see it here, so I'd like to know where else I can see it.

Never mind. I saw the logo on the announcement e-mail I got from Roundabout. Now I just need help figuring out whether those letters really are from the logos of Sondheim's shows.

Could someone please repost the logo?

This news made my day. I'm excited for everyone, but Leslie Kritzer especially. And that poster will be up on my wall as soon as it's available!

Vanessa Williams - "Water Under the Bridge" from SINGING OUT LOUD

Barbara Cook - "Children & Art" from SUNDAY

Michael Arden - "Talent" from ROAD SHOW

Leslie Kritzer - "There Won't Be Trumpets" from ANYONE CAN WHISTLE

Anyone agree?

The "o" is modeled after the Follies logo:

Yep, commasplice. The other letters are from logo-art of his other shows too. Pop quiz which are which!

That's exciting!

If Birdie's sales drop, do you think they'll try and put something in to the Henry Miller or will they just leave it dark?
