Anyone know if there are plans for this?
I know it's not the most popular show ever, but there are a few cleaver songs.

Cleaver songs! I had no idea this is a Sweeney Sequel.
Shouldn't there be a comma in the title then?
as in "Cry, Baby" cause I'm gonna cleaver you.
Just razzin' ya.
You're thinking of the other John Waters musical, when Jerry Mathers was in it. (rim shot)
lol, i doubt it will stay around long enough
Got a naughty copy of this on dvd the other day and me and my fella watched it...what a bloody mess
you're right... there are a lot of "cleaver" songs that should be CUT out of the show by a cleaver.
but then there'd be no score! oh dear.
I will feel better when this hot mess closes.
The show is a mess with only slight bits of choreography watchable. The most boring staging on Broadway. It bored me senseless and i wanted to leave in the interval. The recording thats going around is very different to what's on stage and i'm sure is even more so now than 2 weeks ago when i saw it.
Wish id seen 'A Catered Affair' again instead!
I dont see the potential in this show at all, its dire
i will say the choreography was great and the ensemble strong
"Waaa Waaaa Waaa the show sucks it should die a horrible death...and fast"
Cut and paste to a few years from now.
"Waaa Waaaa Waaa, how come they didn't record Cry-Baby so I can put it in my "I love a flop" collection.
Careful what you wish for.
don't include me in that group.
I really won't regret it -- the score is terrible.

I like a bunch of the songs. I hope they record.
Honestly, I hope everything is recorded.
Also, songanddanceman2, SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT YOUR BOOTLEGS. I saw part of the dvd in question, then went to the show expecting to hate it and ended up not. There was a lot to enjoy in aspects (like ENERGY) that aren't captured on a bootleg. Just cause you're off in the UK doesn't give you the right to make hasty judgments on shows you haven't seen.
I cleaverd my girlfriend in bed!
It's true, you can't accurately gage a show's merits from a bootleg, no matter what anyone else says, so to sit on a message board and trash a show when you HAVE NOT SEEN IT, is stupid.
No sweat TooDarn--it wasn't at anyone in particular. Let em record it, it's their money, right? I saw it and didn't think it was that bad. de gustibus non es disputandum I always say.

They recorded High Fidelity so why not Cry Baby?
Because High Fidelity at least had an opening night. At this rate, Cry-Baby might not even get that.
It's just too easy to take other people's words for a show's quality. One person says a show is a mess and suddenly everyone hops on board and can't even be bothered to come up with different adjectives.
I can understand why some people don't like the show and it's not like I'm all about it, but having seen it I have to say I was prepared for it to be far worse based on what people here said about it.
If you can't be bothered to see a show for yourself to form an opinion and rely so heavily on what other people say, at least have the sense to say something about it other than what a "mess" it is. (You're starting to sound like Fox News pundits. Notice how they can never come up with an original buzz word or phrase?)
do you think their crappy voices will transition well on CD?
Oh shut up about you cant judge a show of a bootleg *the show does not change in to some strange thing because its on a dvd*
Yes been in the theatre is way better, but if i was watching this show in the theatre the only difference i would notice is that is was louder.
Oh and i actually thought the energy on the *evil bootleg* was great, like i said the choreography and the ensemble were brilliant
There will always be a sucker to buy the OBCR of this show!

If this was a show that the majority of the members of this board enjoyed, and someone who'd only seen a bootleg said they didn't like it... you'd all be jumping down their throats screaming "YOU CAN'T JUDGE A SHOW FROM A BOOTLEG!"
