Theatre luminaries Sandra Bernhard (Everything Bad and Beautiful); Mario Cantone (Laugh Whore); Alan Cumming (Threepenny Opera); Fran Drescher (Some Girl(s)); Barrett Foa (Avenue Q); Sara Gettelfinger (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels); Cyndi Lauper (Threepenny Opera); Andrew Rannells (Hairspray); Rita Wilson (Chicago); Josh Strickland (Tarzan); and from the cast of Jersey Boys, Dominic Nolfi, Daniel Reichard, J. Robert Spencer, and John Lloyd Young; are scheduled to take part in this year's "Bares." (Bernhard and Wilson will only appear at the 9:30 PM show).

"This year's edition of 'Broadway Bares' is the sexiest take ever on New York City's colorful characters and interesting places. The show celebrates everything that is New York: the sexy neighborhood coffee shop waitress serving it up hot, the steamy firemen saving the day, and the local pizza delivery boy bringing a pie to your apartment. If only I were living in NYC and coughcough not 16 coughcough, I'd so go to this . I'm telling myself if I get into NYU this is definatley one o' those things I have to go to.

Can you believe Cyndi is in her 50s? She's one of the few 50-year-old women I'd want to see at something like this. Too bad I'm 16 and in DE.

Cyndi has an amazing body. Rita Wilson and Sandra Bernhard are also both in their late 40s/early 50s and look great. Gotta love the older ladies.

I wish I lived in NYC so I could go as well. Would love to see Josh Strickland. Although seeing him in Tarzan was as good as Broadway Bares. Maybe the loincloth will come off though...hmmmm...the mind wonders.....

Can someone explain this to me? What do they bare, exactly? Are they naked, is it a show? I don't really understand the concept after reading about it - and would be curious.. Is Cyndi Lauper really going to go completely naked in front of people?

Usually the higher profile personalities don't strip like the dancers do, they introduce, make announcements, sing a sosomething, or appear in a skit. They might join in the rotation at the end and do whatever moves them (that's what Paige did!), but they don't usually strip as part of the show. Though Christopher Seiber did a number a few years ago...

Since Cyndi wears garters and bustier in 3PO, it's possible she will perform in a similar outfit. (And she looks fabulous, by the way!)

I'm sorry to thread jack, but does theis mean that Cindi and Alan might not come out the stage door on Sunday? Or not be in the show on Sunday? Prehaps it would make them come out the stage door sooner???
