You all? Nope, just the dumb ones who keep making excuses justifying their horrendous attendance. Glad they make all their extracurricular activities tho, proving they are perfectly healthy to perform.

If the roles are too much of a lift, they needed to codify an alternate schedule months ago. What's the point of them doing GMA or any press if there's a decent chance people won over by their appearance and buy tickets to see them... won't?"

And they were fine at Ham4Ham and all other appearances. Does not appear to be a health issue.

Yet another remarkably ignorant comment. You must be an incredibly gifted medical doctor to be able to do remote diagnoses just from seeing a person from far away or on TV for a few minutes. Do you accept insurance? If so how can I make an appointment with you?
"

You’re just a pleasure, aren’t you?   I agree with all the previous comments.  They are calling out too often and all the other functions they attend does not look good .

Yep. For the matinee at least. TBD about this evening.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

So now we are at the point if they make an appearance with something in the day time don’t expect them at the show at night.  I wonder what Tony week will bring …

As someone who has worked on a handful of network talk shows, the talent is there about 2-3 hours prior to their few short minute segments. These press appearances can get genuinely exhausting if they have several appearances in a day as the waiting can tear you down.

There is no way Megan would be missing this many shows unless she has a good reason, especially in the weeks between Tony nominations and awards. And that reason isn’t our business. I say this as someone who missed her 2 of the 3 times I saw the show. I hope whatever is causing her to call out isn’t too serious and is something that gets better with time. And if she needs a split schedule, I hope the show gives that to her and announces it.

For now Natalie’s Madeline costume is literally the same as her(now former) Helen costume and Kayleigh’s Helen dress is a different off the rack piece. It’s nuts."

Do you realise how expensive the costumes actually are? It’s nuts how ill informed you are.
Understudies often don’t get replicas of the main costumes. If they announce standbys- that’s different. They SHOULD be replicas.
"

What? Lol. Yes Costumes are expensive, but so are the tickets. And not necessarily do Costumes have to be REPLICAS of the principle cast's Costumes (Id say like 90% of the time they do, but there are variations), but you do expect them to have actual Costumes that are made for the show and not literal gowns bought from a department store. Like imagine if they pulled something from a department store for Elphaba in Act 2 of Wicked because an understudy is on. That is a ridiculous reason for why you would not expect these things to be of equal quality.

I mean, Paul Tazwell just won an Oscar. He's up for a Tony for these Costumes, and its embarassing for him to have to deal with the production's shortcomings for why his designs are not out on the stage every night. This show is backed by Universal and those holding the purse strings need to get it together both financially and transparency with the cast and their schedules. Like why did it take you SIX months to hire a standby?

Yes they can.  It is not that.  They can both sing the hell out of this show 8 times a week.  There are many actresses that can.  And no one cares about whatever personal problems they might be going thru.  That is their issue and no ones buisness.  And I wish these two fabulous ladies health and happiness. But it is just frustrating for those who keep trying to see them both in the show for which they have received acclaim and are heavily promoting.  And it is very weird to see them at so many events and then not have them perform their show.   And in this day of age in which everyone is on social media alerting everyone about everything.. there has been no transparency.  And the lack of transparency is what is bad.  If they are only doing 6 shows a week.. let the ticket buying audience know so they can plan accordingly and not waste their time and money.

As far as the costumes.. Could it possibly have something to do with trades and tariffs?  Like the Mincemeat sign?  I don't know anything about it.. but just wondering.

It's not like this is a one off. It's consistent absence for both ladies. I got yelled at for saying this earlier in this thread, but I'll say it again: I blame the songwriters for writing screechy roles.

I'm not sure what's going on or who is to "blame" here, but to have two leads calling out on a regular basis leaving ticket-buyers lucky if they manage to attend on a night when they're both actually performing is extremely problematic IMO. If they can't do the show time 8x a week, that is perfectly fine, but a transparent alternate schedule should be established and advertised to ticket-buyers at this point.

Are you hanging out with the other Rats in the trash outside their apartments stalking them or are you just talking out your ass projecting what you think is going on? Cuz it's gotta be either/or.

NYC and LA have many beautiful fabric stores with materials that didn't need to be imported in the last 8 weeks to the country, so no.

And my point has been proven especially by people you never want to see shirtless. It's like seeing Casper the bitchy ghost half naked. EW :)

Thank you for saying this Jstone08!

Each of us are currently experiencing that thing called life- at any given moment, it can throw a curve ball causing any one of us to change course and reconfigure our routines.

Jstone08 said it perfectly- it’s absolutely none of our business. Megan is a wife and mother of two. In 2022, she lost her sister and other family members in a plane crash. Megan, Jennifer, you, and me- we all have things going on in life. Yes, I can totally understand and relate to being disappointed when you put forth effort to plan a trip/ put down a decent amount of money for a ticket to see these amazing performers command a stage. They are people too and trying to put one foot in front of the other some days.

Megan called out again tonight. So nice of her to do just 4 shows this week while squeezing in all of those talk show appearances and #HAM4HAM...

Again, all those appearances being arranged by the production. You know this, but you continue to act obtuse to throw jabs.

Again, no one is criticizing them for doing the appearances.  Just observing that if they could do the appearances they could do their show.  And if it is between one or the other.. it should be the show.  And if production is the one making these decisions then they are committing fraud by knowingly selling tickets to an audience that is hoping to see them.

Then I will once again advise you to direct your ire towards the production for their lack of transparency and not the employees that report to them as some in this thread do as if they'd punched them in the street with how personal this all feels. It's a little ridiculous and hyperbolic.

Well I don't know what thread you're reading, but I'm seeing quite a few allegations of laziness and unprofessionalism on the part of the cast and have for a LONG time. Despite very well discussed problems within the production itself for not having adequate Swing coverage, Lead coverage, no standby for your leads until 6 months into the run, department store purchased gowns for understudies up until... that's still happening now. You want transparency, again, take it up with production. It is not the Cast's job to speak for them and in many cases explicitly forbidden to.
