This is all so wild.
I would love a missed performance count…
I have tix to see the show next Thursday. I saw the full cast back in previews but want to see it again. I have a backup plan if one of the leads is out, but will I get notice? Do ticket holders get notified if either Hilty or Simard is missing a performance?
She posted something on the TOK about having to spend a day in jail. First, I thought it was some kind of a joke. But now I’m not so sure. But I’m gonna choose to think she was joking and making a spoof. They’re out a lot. Both of them. It’s ridiculous and I don’t think there’s any excuse anymore. at least people are finding out before hand and make their financial choices,
At this point they need to leave or have a schedule like the stars of Cabaret. This is crazy

Megan being out tonight was announced in advance, sometime last week. I hope they are both ok

I think you should get an email if one of them calls out. I didn’t because my tickets were tdf but it’s also posted as a alert on Broadway direct (the ticketing website), the theater posts a paper sign on the door, the IG account “deathbecomeshersource” posts an IG story that the understudies usually reshare, understudies.org posts it on their calendar, and the understudies both have alert pages on IG you can sign up for.
Looking at future sales..I think if your are set on seeing the ladies you should buy your ticket the day of the show at the tkts booth. They are very good at telling you if they are out.. as long as they already called out. Just buy your tickets within hours of the show to be on the safer side.

Yes, if you purchased through the official site, you'll get an email as soon as the theater knows anyone will be out.
You can also check via BroadwayDirect. This is for tomorrow’s matinee (Wednesday May 28, 2025):

I think it’s very interesting that production has now been releasing slime tutorials with the understudies.

Where have they been doing this? Because if anything, I think the social media twink may have gotten happy fingers and reposted a fan video...

This made me laugh. Probably because I just finished watching Hacks.

All over Tik Tok doesn't mean the production is posting them. However, modern Broadway shows are successful by embracing the social culture so reposting bootlegs wouldnt seem too much of a shock if they were...

No way the show isn't aware on how these are being filmed. They are well done. They are defenitly a part of it (in my opinion). I think they are wisely putting things out there to make the show itself the sell. With their poor attendance record they don't want their current stars to be the draw in any way. What a shame.

I think you vastly underestimate how well you can film things with minimal equipment these days. People have been doing them for Wicked for years in comparable quality. The Lempicka bootlegs are great quality as well. This is not hard for people who know what they're doing and aren't idiots.
Naw. The show knows and I suspect is behind it. These are better than all the other shows you mentioned in terms of filming quality. Slimes took a giant step in recent years. I started noticing how good they were getting with Lea in Funny Girl. The show knows. And they are ok with it.

I have yet to see anything come across Tik Tok that would make me believe that there's people doing it in conjunction with the production. Literally looks like any other bootleg I've seen in the last several years...
There is a difference between Production being aware of it and turning their heads away and being "Behind" it. How would they go about that exactly? DMing bootleggers? Getting a nice good paper trail going?
