I saw the show the other night for the 2nd time and enjoyed it equally as much as the 1st time. However, both times that I've seen it, I've had a very hard time understanding anything Jennifer Simard sings. Anyone else have this problem?

Roscioli announced on her IG last Friday that she would be on as Madeline 5/20 and 5/27. The BroadwayDirect website also notes Hilty will be out.

Not me. I relished every word out of her mouth.

Megan was out Tuesday. I'd bet money both Hilty and Williams call out of one show this weekend. Or all three will be out on Sunday. Otherwise, I wonder if Dee Roscioli will make their Helen debut on Sunday?"
Megan ended up calling out tonight. A 5 show weekend is a lot so I’m not surprised, although I was predicting she would call out the same show as Jennifer (Sun matinee) because Tony voters are likely skipping that show due to Jennifer’s advance notice absence.
Does Dee have her Helen costumes yet? As standby she would get priority going on but Natalie announced she would be on tomorrow for Helen, unless they already know Megan will be out also and thus Dee will be on for Madeline. I saw on IG that Natalie got her Act 2 finale dress this week so I look forward to seeing it in photos tomorrow at curtain call.
I'd assume Dee Roscioli doesn't have her Helen costumes nor has she had her put-in, either. Hence why Natalie is on today for the matinee.

That makes sense! Didn’t realize she hasn’t had her put in yet. I have heard amazing things about Natalie’s Helen and she finally got her act 2 dress so im glad she still is getting chances to go on. Although I was right and Megan did end up calling out for the matinee today too, so Dee is on as Madeline.

I hope Dee doesn’t have to wait 6 months to get her Helen finale costume.
Natalie’s specially tailored dress will finally be debuting in the show today after she has been wearing an off the rack piece for the past 5 or so months of the show.
What on earth is going on at this theatre? Those costumes should all be squared away by now, especially since the two leads flip a coin to see who performs that day.

Yet, everyone else made it to work. Weird.
I think what Sutton said earlier is right. They’re going to announce after the Tony’s that they are both going on a 6 show a week schedule with the the standbys assuming the other shows. Nothing wrong if that’s what they are doing. But the way they are doing it now is a disgrace and a insult to the paying audience.

I completely agree - I pointed this out a few months ago and got ripped apart from someone on this board for caring so much. For a show who prides itself on fabulous costumes I find this really embarrassing and inexcusable.
Megan's missed 3 shows this week (TBD if she calls out tonight). But she made sure to do all of her talk show appearances and the #HAM4HAM...
FYI, only Dee Roscioli is a standby. I wonder if they would make Natalie another standby after the Tony's? Dee for Madeline and Natalie for Helen as the Wed/Sat matinee alternates?
I asked Natalie if her Madeline Ashton costume will be ready by the time she goes on and she said, “one thing at a time.” Baffling that these shows are normalizing not having their understudies costumes ready. For now Natalie’s Madeline costume is literally the same as her(now former) Helen costume and Kayleigh’s Helen dress is a different off the rack piece. It’s nuts.
So just a few weeks ago when mentioned that at any other job so many absences wouldn’t be tolerated and it was insinuated that someone should be fired and made a example ( after Hilty kept calling out) .. you all lost your sh*t and things were deleted . Still feel the same?

Good to see that this thread has been taken over by the lunatics and the “know nothing “know it alls””. It’s astonishing how many people appear to have direct access to these actors’ medical records and personal lives.

Do you realise how expensive the costumes actually are? It’s nuts how ill informed you are.
Understudies often don’t get replicas of the main costumes. If they announce standbys- that’s different. They SHOULD be replicas.

No one is claiming to have access to anything . It is all natural speculation. And as said before it is all due to a lack of basic transparency . They do miss many shows.

You all? Nope, just the dumb ones who keep making excuses justifying their horrendous attendance. Glad they make all their extracurricular activities tho, proving they are perfectly healthy to perform.

If the roles are too much of a lift, they needed to codify an alternate schedule months ago. What's the point of them doing GMA or any press if there's a decent chance people won over by their appearance and buy tickets to see them... won't?"
And they were fine at Ham4Ham and all other appearances. Does not appear to be a health issue.

Yet another remarkably ignorant comment. You must be an incredibly gifted medical doctor to be able to do remote diagnoses just from seeing a person from far away or on TV for a few minutes. Do you accept insurance? If so how can I make an appointment with you?
