I agree that these slime tutorials are now being ignored. Yes, they’re still being done as before by bootleggers but producers are no longer getting fired up and having them promptly pulled off YouTube like they used to many years ago. Heck, you couldn’t even mention the name YouTube on this board years ago and now we can easily post links on posts. Now you see bootleg reels video of full numbers on TikTok and Instagram and many are even reposted on the show’s official accounts.

You are probably right. But what I have seen is defenitly better than normal and there is a lot out there. And I am sure your seeing the same thing I am seeing.
Hilty's out of both shows today.

Hilty's missed 6 shows in a row now. Only two were pre-scheduled. Have to question her health at this point.
I believe she has missed every week since the beginning of the run. Sure her health should be questioned .. but the weird part is that she is fine and in great voice at all the other events.

Back in the day, the quality of bootlegs was crap. Now, with gyroscopic 4K video, its free publicity at surprisingly decent quality. I've seen actors use bootlegs as sizzle reel on websites and social media. Many performers under 45 have their own vast collections. I'm not saying it's good or bad, but these times are a changing.

Hi all, longtime lurker here, I check in when I'm in NYC periodically. Thanks for the info in this thread: it's meant that I avoided seeing the show the past days and shared with another planned attendee in the TKTS line a few days ago.
A question: where are you getting the info about whether the leads are in or out? Twitter? If someone could please confirm/share the source, I'd really appreciate it. I'm going to try and see the show in the next week while I'm in still in town, and would like to target a day when Hilty specifically will be appearing. I do understand that if I buy from TKTS then I should get a refund if the leads are out, but that's a whole performance in itself and knowing the source of the in/out on the day would be a help. I am seeing other shows so also trying to avoid missing an evening when I could have got tickets for something else.
I may try for tonight/May 30th if it's looking likely she's in after yesterday the full case performed.
Understudies.org, as well as checking the social media (IG) profiles for covers.
There's an IG fan page that always reports when any of the leads are out.

Nothing surprising, but both Hilty and Simard are out of today's matinee.

See if this message goes through, I kept getting an error when trying to reply yesterday.
Thanks to both people wwho gave info about checking for the leads being in or out. Unfortunately they didn't have the show on TKTS yesterday, likely because of so many call-outs and lower general availability. I chatted with a few of the people who work the line and there have been days when the leads are in and TKTS has tickets, but obviously more are available the days when they're out.
I've ended up buying a ticket at an ok price (not a great seat but whatever) for tomorrow's matinee (Sunday). I can get a full refund if they're out, or exchange. So I'm not optimistic about my chances, but let's see.
Hilty & Simard have been out of the show 4-5 times this week more so 5 for Hilty since Sunday? Is this acceptable? Obviously, they can't handle the physical and vocal demands of the role 8x a week let alone doing only 3-4 performances a week. Pitiful as much as we love them this has become a problem! Do producers have a say when the leads are always calling out especially together?
Hilty hints at her struggles with showing up to work here: NY Times
I was just recently diagnosed with tendinitis in my throat, because of the physical stuff I do with my neck in the show. It pulls on my voice box and I ultimately have to call out of the show if it’s affecting my voice and it’s too painful.

so this further emphasizes the need to make Dee Roscioli an alternate and have her do the Wed/Sat matinees permanently.
The piece addresses all the tasks Hilty takes on to be able to perform, and I cannot imagine she is having a “good” time doing this show, or doing a musical 8x a week again if this is what it takes. My goodness.

I get it—we all want to see the stars we came for, especially when we’ve spent good money on tickets. But it’s important to remember that these performers are human beings, not machines. They deal with personal challenges—mental, physical, or otherwise—just like the rest of us. After reading the article featuring Megan Hilty (who, by the way, delivers an incredible performance), it’s clear how demanding this job really is. Let’s show a little grace and compassion. They deserve it.
