I felt that today should have a thread of its own for those people who are going to see the show today for their thoughts up until showtime as well as details on today's emotional and likely unforgettable performance by the one and only Ben Platt! ( the loveable alien!!) as well as the rest of the wonderful cast!
For those going today who may have seen the show before it will be fascinating to know if there are any subtle differences or if there may be any additional dialogue such as in jokes or script changes indicating it is his last performance!
Will be curious to know what happens at the curtain call!
Please let us know if any collectibles are being sold or auctioned off at today's performance!
Also curious to know if any last-minute tickets became available at the box office!
Of course any details of the stage door will be appreciated!
I cannot imagine any understudies in today's performance....
Please let us know if any celebrities or family members of the cast will be in attendance today!
I am so glad CT2NYC scored a front row center seat for today and can't wait for his comments as it is thanks to him that so many of us were able to score tickets for the show and be able to appreciate the incredible talent of this amazing actor! Kudos to you and your generous spirit!
As someone who has been lucky enough to have seen the show I must say that that those who are going today will cherish this historic performance!
Can't wait to hear from all of you today and in the coming days!
Has there ever been a final performance (pre-social media) with as much hype as this one?

spoiler alert
most last performances have way too much audience participation that are very disruptive to the actual show

That is so true!
I can remember that when the show starts the lights come on and Ben is sitting in his bed alone. The audience applauds and cheers first of all realizing that he is in the show with no understudy and as well they are anticipating his epic performance.
That applause will probably last a few minutes today!
I'm sure that after many of his solo performances this will occur which will probably make the show last over three hours today!! Lol
I just hope they film the finale and/or curtain call.

For those of you going today and happen to pass by the merch table please let me know what autographed items they have for sale ( for bcefa fundraising)and their prices.
Please let me know if they have started to sell the new hardcover book and the new vinyl with the unreleased song on it at the theater.
As well if anyone can please tell me if they are still selling the white beach blanket with the show name and step into the sun lettering on it and at what cost. Thank you!
I'm a pretty reserved guy, and I'm not a fan of hootin' and hollerin', but I'm ready for today's craziness.

I can only speak to the BCEFA items since I was there last night - I didn't get a good look at the actual merch table. But for BCEFA after the show they had DEH buttons with quotes from the show for $10, a Christmas carol CD with songs from different Broadway casts for $20, signed playbills (full company) for $100, and signed posters for $300. Not sure if it'll be any different tonight!

The DEH coffee table book is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Bring a splash guard my friend (CT2NYC) because i'm sure a lot of saliva tears and mucus will be coming your way!!
Just think your shirt will be full of Ben Platt's DNA by the end of the evening. You may want to auction it off at the end of the show!
Someone may want to clone him ! Lol
I'm awaiting everyone's reports. I wish I had gone but I did see Ben in this role twice and so I feel very lucky.

I'm happy for everyone attending today, especially you. I'd hoped to be there but the Telecharge gods have not been nice to me. I've it refresh so many times Wednesday that my finger actually hurts. Have an amazing time!

Ha!
So so happy and honestly, honored to have seen Ben once at 2ST and twice at the Music Box...and also meeting him and chatting for a bit at the stage door in the early weeks of the Broadway run. I've been thinking a lot about him and his mind-blowing performance these past few days, and while it may be self exclamatory to some....this role changed my life and many others. today's performance will be something special. While I could compare this to when Lin left Hamilton....this is just different. Ben's performance has changed peoples lives in already amazing, connecting show unlike no other.

I was in NYC last weekend visiting from Canada, and saw the Sun matinee show, so today it has been very much on my mind (and IPod) and I am so wishing I could be there again. Watching all the cast and other friends tweet their goodbyes to Ben has definitely gotten to me... I feel very sad that his run is ending, and am not quite sure how he is going to get through his show today - having performed musicals myself, I know all too well how emotional it can be for an actor, let alone for a role and journey like this. I am also hoping someone is able to film the finale / bows / curtain call as I would love to see it after the fact. I do hope everyone stays safe today at the stage door and that all the die-hard DEH fans who managed to nab those fantastic last-minute and front row tickets have a blast together. Enjoy!

Just spent a few minutes looking at threads when this show was in DC and at Second Stage with us all speculating if this show would come to Broadway and if it would even last. Who would have thought it would feature one of the biggest star turns Broadway has ever seen. I'm lucky to have seen it
BroadwayNYC2, I always love doing that. I remember a few people questioning if they'd bring the cast to Broadway haha. Also many were doubting a highly successful run, more of a run like Fun Home (still successful, but a smaller audience). The show is well sold through the next few months, but will be interesting to see if the momentum will last without Ben. I hope it does.

My friend got a single ticket for today's performance, and woke up incredibly sick. She almost passed out trying to get up and go to this, but she just gave up. She offered me her ticket if I bring "supplies" for her terrible cold/flu so it seems like a fair exchange. I'm just hanging out at Becco waiting for the show. I'm so happy for Ben, and all he accomplished with this role. I am also very, very happy he will get a huge break from people coming up to him and weighing him down with their stories. The People magazine article was upsetting, and I think when he's back in LA, a lot less people will just randomly come up to him and do that. I always admired Mike, and his ability to tell people no and make people aware that they are not grief counselors.
I think the day Lin, Pippa, and Leslie left was far more powerful. To lose three central, incredible original cast members in one day was a big, big event. Hamilton has been the biggest show in the world for almost 3 years.
I hope everyone has an amazing time today, and the cast can get through it. Since they are incredible professionals, pretty sure they can pull it off! Have a wonderful time everyone, no cell phones please!

They definitely have the towels still, I saw them there last night but didn’t catch the price. I did. Hear from another thread (cancellation thread) that last nights performance may have been the last for the BCEFA autographed items...
hope that helps!
he was AMAZING last night!
