Seems like she deleted her post. But it seems confirmation has been posted on her Twitter.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her

It gives me a small joy to know just a couple of weeks ago, she was able to attend the renaming the New London Theatre to the Gillian Lynne Theatre.

92 years of age is hardly devastating. She lived a fabulous life and lived to see a theatre named after her.  An honor that happens posthumously.

Rest in piece, D.G.L.

Forgive me. I’m devastated.

A great life and lady is now extinguished forever. That's devastating, 92 or not. Nobody can go on forever, but that does not make the loss any more real.

I always enoyed her appearances in the various documentaries she participated in, she seemed so nice and such good fun too. Her work will live on. Rest in peace.

You don't get to tell other people how they should feel about this (or anything). Perhaps what you meant to suggest was that the news wasn't too surprising, given Ms. Lynne's age.

I’d love for that to be true. As it stands now the new tour of Cats will still be going out with some of Lyne’s original work and Andy Blankenbuehler’s stink on it.

A dear friend of mine was very close to Dame Lynne. In fact her picture was always on his bedside table. He told me some wonderful stories but there was one in particular that stood out. First off, he lost his hair in his late teens and wore a full toupee. He and Lynne were once on a roller coaster together and at one point she looked at him and gently said, "Dear, your hair is behind you."

His work is only there for a little while longer. It’s being removed entirely when his original contract runs out.

Regardless, her work will survive in the memory of those who saw it, the work it inspired, and also the DVD!
