I expect to see Mr. Radcliffe on Glee next season! Is there anything this young man CAN'T do???

croftin8or, you're new here, so you should know Glee doesn't sit well with us. learn that early and you'll fit in fine.
Maybe Daniel can use his wand and make GLEE disappear.
Daniel's already shown enough of his wand on the stage. Relax, Jordan.
I enjoy Mr. Radcliffe, I think he's a talented and delightful young man. But is being on Glee all that hard? MOST of the regular cast is nothing extraordinary...why would guest starring be a huge accomplishment.

He wouldn't even be the biggest name to guest star.
I'm keeping this as still a big rumor at this point. I'd assume he's going to have bigger projects on the horizon since his Potter life will soon be over (just one more publicity tour for the last film). Though he's done guest spots before, his appearance on Extras a few years ago was hilarious!
As for being the biggest name guest star. I'd argue that he would be the biggest they've had, save for less than a handful that have appeared already: Carol Burnett and Britney being the biggest I can think of. Granted he has no award nominations or anything. But he is a global name to the scale that the majority of the musical theater guest stars on the show will never achieve. Hell the Glee kids are more well known now internationally than some of the guest stars.
Either way I've enjoyed watching his career grow, it would be interesting to see what they would do with him if he was on the show.
No. Glee needs to go away. The world would be a much better place if this god forsaken show didn't exist. That is all.

Why.."doesn't glee sit well with us"?....haven't seen it very often and never have been able to sit thru an entire episode BUT I am not in thier target audience of younger viewers. I do know that the show has very good ratings and demands a high advertising rate. So tell me
Glee sits well with me, anyway. Daniel Radcliffe has already been on the show - the How to Succeed billboard featured prominantly in the season finale, when the gang were gathered at TKTS.
Glee doesn't sit well with me either. I think Glee's success could be attributed to the fact that its cast is better than some of the pop acts that Disney is churning out. I'm not going to say that the cast is untalented or mediocre, because I think they're quite decent. Also, I'd like to believe that there's a desire for good music out there. However, given that most teens are exposed to some mediocre and untalented musicians, it's not surprising that Glee is rocking their socks off. And Glee plays the "we're outcasts like you" card pretty well, I would say.
I do think that if some of these kids decide to explore musical theater outside of "Wicked" (it's a good show, I just want kids to listen to a score with more substance, like say "Gypsy" or "My Fair Lady"), I do think the Glee cast will begin to look more mediocre to them. I don't even know how on earth I became interested in musicals (I'm in Texas), but it could happen for some of them, too.
Kurt sang Some People only a couple of episodes back.
And before that he did Rose's Turn and a piece from Sunset Boulevard. What people don't understand is that Glee is bringing musical theatre back to popular culture. Recently I got the opportunity to help audition kids for the choral and theatre departments at my old high school, (I'm studying at a major conservatory now, and I was invited by the new teacher on merit) and our numbers were TRIPLED for both departments. When they filled out the 'reasons for auditioning' column, more than twenty of them wrote that they wanted to be like the cast of Glee. Three of those kids are now studying classically with my old voice teacher.
So mock Glee as much as you like - heaven knows I do - but to call it a waste of space is to be incredibly nearsighted. It's doing a lot for theatre in pop culture and it's attracting a lot of kids to the theatre.

I did see that performance, and it wasn't mind-blowing. Neither was the Sunset Boulevard number.
I don't think anyone is arguing that. Chris Colfer is far from a brilliant singer.
^ that's for sure.
Glee is disgusting. It leads people to believe musical theatre is a career filled with auto-tune, cliché plots, and "I can manipulate my way to the top" talent.

Jordan, <3
Daniel Radcliffe on GLEE would be like nails on a chalkboard to me...
That being said, GLEE sits well with me, even if Lea Michele's voice is incredibly grating sometimes. But what it does for me, is that it exposes me to new songs of theatre. I never listened to GYPSY or SUNSET BLVD before I saw Chris Colfer sing it on GLEE.

I wish they'd do less well-known musical theatre.
And yeah, I think the cast doesn't seem as great singing-wise if you're familiar with Broadway.
"I wish they'd do less well-known musical theatre."
They have:
'I've Gotta Be Me' - Golden Rainbow
'Ohio' - Wonderful Town
'Lady Is A Tramp' - Babes In Arms
'Le Jazz Hot' - Victor/Victoria
'Home' - The Wiz
I know some (if not all) of those songs will probably be very familiar with theatre people, but I'm sure they would've been unheard of to the kids expressing interest in Musical Theatre, as well as Joe Public.
I would kill to see the Holly Holiday character (Gwyneth Paltrow) do a medley of songs from BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON.
Wishing Only Wounds - you took those words right out of mouth :) I wholeheartedly agree. It misrepresents theatre, and certain aspects of high school social life.
