He's only in the show through March 8th.
I believe he's just a vacation swing. Vacation swings typically don't get listed on PlaybillVault.
Here is a pic of him taking a bow

From Tony Award winner to vacation swing? Is this a first? Not that I'm belittling his effort. Work is work and I think On the Town is a great show that anyone should be proud to be a part of in any capacity. I'd rather see him go on for Tony Yazbeck though.
Well his voice has grown from being a 12 year old playing billy
he's a vacation swing. Do I really need to repeat myself!!
You said earlier vacation swing don't typically get listed on playbillvault, but he is indeed listed and the date saying that he joined the cast is different from when he started as a vacation swing. I could be wrong, but by the looks of it, it seems that he is now in the cast as a regular swing. And he is also listed on the On The Town website.

David Alvarez was part of a dance number that ON THE TOWN cast members did in today's BC/EFA Easter Bonnet Competition at the Minskoff Theatre. They'll do the same show tomorrow at 2pm.
He and the others were dressed in T-shirts that had prints of INY on the front and ON THE TOWN on the back. They did a humorous new dance to Bernstein's score with a most unwilling "Miss Turnstiles for May," played by Ivy's roommate, Allison Guinn. Then they brought the hat out -- a patriotic looking bonnet.
The program lists Alvarez, Guinn, Stephen Hanna, Brandon Leffler, Jess LeProtto, Cory Lingner, and Ricky Ubeda as performers in the skit. Other shows performing skits included Avenue Q, Chicago, Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Hand to God, and Mamma Mia!

David Alvarez has joined the company of On The Town full time. In late March, some changes were made to the number of swings in the show: one left and was replaced and an additional male and female swing have been brought in.
Wonderful article in Friday's NY Times about him.

While the direction of this thread has veered back to "sane," the OP's impetus for beginning this (and subsequent posts) is truly terrifying. Stalker much?
