I will be in NYC for the Tony Week, and I have 6 shows already with tickets: Drowsy Chaperone, Luitenant Inishmore, Ballet Tech, Rent, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, History Boys, and The Classics Professor. I have the chance to see 3 more shows during my time, and I love seeing as much as I can. Any suggestions, on the top of my list are:
Awake and Sing
Wedding Singer
and Lestat
Thanks!

Have you seen Sweeney yet?
How about the Color Purple, Spelling Bee, or Jersey Boys? Maybe Bridge and Tunnel?
Of the choices you gave, I would see Awake and Sing! and Wedding Singer.

Posted: 5/19/06 at 4:43pmI really want to see Awake and Sing, Jersey Boys will be difficult to get tickets to, Sweeney Todd has been the best musical i've ever seen! I absolutely loved it. I saw Spelling back in March and thought it was very funny. Any news about The Luitenent Inishmore? That is the show I am most excited seeing.

Sorry to threadjack but, if you had these 3 choices, what order would you put them to see? Basically, which is the one you liked best to which you liked least.
AWAKE AND SING
SWEENEY
JERSEY BOYS

Posted: 5/19/06 at 6:18pmI haven't see All Shook Up, but TWS is a show that keeps one engaged from the minute it starts till the end. Not mind blowing theatre, but a great deal of fun. What theatre is meant to be for, plus amazing talented actors/singers/dancers in it.

Posted: 5/19/06 at 6:33pmIt's no secret that I thought The Wedding Singer was crap...but if you had to choose between Lestat, The Wedding Singer, and Awake and Sing, DEFINITELY go with The Wedding Singer. (i can't believe i just wrote that)

It's pure fun like All Shook Up, but as far as music and story line goes, it's nothing like it. All Shook Up was kind of like Shakespeare's 12th Night meets Elvis. I perfered All Shook Up to TWS but mainly because I didn't get alot of the refrences in Wedding Singer.
