Matt you little fibber. You told me you weren't going, so I had that final drink alone in my apartment, which put me into a stupor and sent me to bed at 10 pm. I would have much preferred to be in a stupor and pass out on you.
"You! You are the worst thing to happen to musical theatre since Andrew Lloyd Webber! And you, well, I just plain don't like you."
~Stewart Gilligan Griffin
Daisy, no worries. I belted in your stead. It turned out quite well. For the record, here's the BWWers who sang...I think we all acquited ourselves quite nicely in the face of crazy talent like Baby Jane Dexter, Jason Graae and my personal faves of the evening, the Davenports. First up was MJR (hi, MJR! We sat right behind you and should have said hello!) who did a very nice rendition of "To Where You Are" by Josh Groban (is that the title?) Then Eddie Varley dueted with Julie Garnye on "Suddenly Seymour." Next up was yours truly here, doing my best Steve Perry impersonation on "Open Arms." Last, but not least, JRB did a stunning rendition of George Michael's "Kissing a Fool." I might have missed others. Am I correct in guessing Ellie, who performed a cute Snoopy number from "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" is our own Ellie on the list?
