Tickets for April, May, and part of June 2016 went on sale this morning. It felt like I was battling 10,000 robots. At 10 a.m. sharp I was ready. After a couple of initial fumbles (I'm not so good at this), I made it to my chosen date and time. I couldn't believe my eyes when the seating loaded! Almost the entire orchestra was sold out. Some of the seats were reserved for the Amex Preferred sales, with the little logo on the seat. But the rest seem to be sold out. Then the map function was taken away because of high volume, so I could just choose "best available." I did manage to purchase two seats in May 2016 that I like, but I really thought I would have my pick. Silly me!
Gotta love scalpers.

***k scalpels. Get a real job folks!
Tickets for the next block, June, July, August and September, 2016, are on sale now for Amex cardholders.
Looks like good availability in the mezzanine.
What happened to seats in the orchestra? Or do scalpers all have AMEX cards?

I got tickets for June and there are still a ton of seats available. The center orchestra non-premiums seem to have been snapped up quickly, but there are lots of other options, including side orchestra.
However, tickets through June 4 have been available for general sale for quite some time. I got tickets for April about a month ago and it was not using my Amex. I believe the presale is just for dates starting June 7. So if you're looking in April that is the reason for the lack of availability. Crazy that they're selling this far in advance but those April sales didn't all take place in the last 20 minutes. (But yes, I'm sure scalpers had a hand in this, particularly for those center orchestra June dates...)
There's a bunch of orchestra seats available too. I just got a ticket for what I'm assuming will be Tuesday after the Tonys.
Yes, that's correct. The Amex presale that started at 10 is for dates after June 4. I grabbed two front mezzanine seats. I haven't sat up there, but I think it's good, right?
Also, for others who are wondering, the side orchestra Rows L, M, N, O, P, Q, and maybe R are really great. I wouldn't pass them up.
I'm shocked how quick the scalpers/bots are. The orchestra as far back as July was picked clean in the categories I wanted, which are "premium adjacent" seats.

I wanted to get some inexpensive seats for June 14, which I assume is the first performance post Tony Awards, however, they are already SOLD OUT! This show is out of control.
So I gambled that June 7 was the first performance after the Tony awards. Maybe I was wrong

It could be either as my understanding is the Tonys are either the first or second Sunday in June. That would make sense since Hamilton is currently showing as dark both days. I bought both. I'm sure I'll have no problem finding someone who wants the other set.

Also I agree with MacNYC on those seats. I sat in Q house right and I didn't miss a thing. I wasn't all the way right but pretty close. You'd maybe miss one person singing from the second level if you were all the way to the side but those are quick and minor.
I was able to get front row side rear mezzanine for a show in July no problem today. They raised the 57 buck tickets to 67 bucks. That's all I was willing to pay for this show so I'm glad I was able to get a pair.

That's the side rear mezzanine, right? I think those went really fast!

Yes forgot to include that, I checked not that long ago and there will still plenty of 67 buck tickets available if that's what you are looking for.

I don't have an AmEx, when do these go on sale to the general public?

Thanks. Hopefully they won't be all gone by then...

I wonder if they are not releasing all the tickets with the presale but are holding sections back for general release? I think Broadway in Chicago does that.
But if that were the case I wouldn't think they would just be holding back the good non-premiums....
I would like to think that producers are doing that, but I doubt it, based on the pattern of seats that were sold.

Presumably this block of tickets will partially coincide with cast replacements as I'm sure that most of the original cast have year-long contracts.
Does anyone know if the Tonys this year are on June 5 or June 12? Want to buy tickets for the first performance after the Tonys, but kind of torn between these two possibilities. Any ideas?
The Tony date is the question of the day when it comes to these Hamilton tickets. I guessed June 5 so I bought a ticket for June 7 ... but then I got nervous and bought one for June 14 too. I'll hopefully sell whichever I don't use at face value.

I've been searching the interwebs to no avail, and I posted something on here a week or so back about when it might be announced but no one responded. The press release came out right around this time last year so I'm optimistic we'll known soon. I bought both dates and I know I can find a friend to buy the others (it won't be hard to get my money back) but I realize not everyone may have that option. If you can float the cash for awhile, you'd surely be able to resell them on this board or use the ticketmaster resale option to get back what you paid. (I would not condone using the resale function to profit because I think that's not cool, but I see nothing wrong to use it to get back what you paid for the ticket.) Or you could just wait and keep your fingers crossed, but I'm guessing the date the tonys are announced those remaining seats will be scooped up pretty quickly.
Would be interested to hear if anyone has any insider info on the Tony date... I am simply relying on google.
I really like the resale option. I bought some tickets on resale and was able to sell the one I didn't need. I priced it at exactly what I paid for it, and it sold.
