Jungle Book is still in the back works.

I am eager to see Freaky Friday onstage.

As far as other shows . . . not in the works . . .

I love the Finding Nemo show at Disney World! The music was fantastic, and the puppets really worked, and they're off to a great start for a full-on Broadway show. (They must have the full 2-hour script somewhere!)

I'd love to see Mulan! It has Broadway written all over it! Also, that Snow White show in the 70s at Radio City Hall could have a great revival on the Great White Way

"Bilbo3, the critical reaction is exactly why I think they should do Pocahontas next. They could show how they've grown more culturally conscious since the film's release. Adapting it for the stage would be a perfect way to fix the problems with the movie.

Also, I just love Pocahontas, so I want to see it happen."

I've noticed that most of Alan Menken's work has made it to broadway. The music in Pocahontas gives me chills. I do agree that Disney would have to rework the story to make it more historically accurate so that there's no controversy.

If we're dream casting this, Ciara Renee would be a phenomenal Pocahontas.

Hercules all the way!
Im not really sure why they would think about making Dumbo or Jungle Book musicals - growing up those were the 2 Disney films that everyone in school always hated! I dont think they have that big of a fan club. Theres not even much in the Disney parks of them other than the dumbo ride and the little Jungle book thing they have.

I'm gonna break into my old tub of VHS tapes (I still have a DVD/VHS player) and watch through the Disney ones. I have to admit that my memory of Pocahontas is spoiled by the sequel, need a rewind.

Ciara Renee would certainly be good as Pocahontas, but the role would have to be played by a Native American actress.

Pocahontas would have gone down much better if they'd just tweaked the story and made it about a fictional Native American character. Disney was planning to open an American History-themed park in Virginia in the mid-1990s, and I've always thought Pocahontas was meant to be part of the publicity for it. The plans for the park fell through, though, so Pocahontas had to go out on its own without the park hype behind it.

Tangled would be a great show-the lantern scene would be stunning instage!
