Has anyone bothered to ask any of the cast members while you're stalking, um, stagedooring after the show?

No, Emcee just gets the information she's been posting from digging through the garbage at the Barrymore.
Wanting life but never knowing how

Posted: 6/25/07 at 12:01amWell, let's be fair now. I get it by stalking people, too. I mean, I'd trust my stalkers with information, wouldn't you? I'd never give it to someone I know personally, that'd be silly.

Posted: 6/25/07 at 12:34amYou know, I do hear that stalkers can be quite trustworthy...

Posted: 6/25/07 at 9:48amMy mom will be so thrilled if this goes through - she escaped seeing it in the theater, now she can be forced to watch it on our crappy tv at home, lol
re: Does PBS want to record to COMPANY?#107
Posted: 6/25/07 at 10:18amI really hope this comes together and is broadcast. I saw it live yesterday and Being Alive was the single most amazing moment I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in a theatre. I would love to have Raul's performance on DVD to watch whenever I want.

Posted: 6/25/07 at 11:05amPBS has wanted a production of COMPANY for years now. When the Kennedy Center did their Sondheim Celebration in 2002, a deal was supposedly in the works for PBS to tape that staging (with John Barrowman who was an excellent Bobby) but the deal could not be reached in time.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

re: Does PBS want to record to COMPANY?#112
Posted: 6/26/07 at 6:43pmThey could still record it after it closes, I'm pretty sure they did that for Sunday in the Park

If they record, it will be later this week, so not seeing cameras isn't exactly a cause for alarm yet.

Tonight's show seemed SO much more relaxed!
There seems to be a LOT more mugging facially by ALL cast members this week!
On the very last note of "Someone Is Waiting," Raul's voice cracked! He started out on the usually soaring and beautiful "Wait..." and it just went "aggghhhh"
Marta started immediately into "Another Hundred People."
Raul wanted to laugh SO BADLY. He got up and looked at other cast members to share a smile ~ and no one would make eye contact! He went to position stage left and chuckled to himself several times. Including as he walked over to Elizabeth Stanley to begin the conversation with "April," Very cute!
Audience was much more crowded than ever. Laughing alot, and appreciative of lots of jokes.
Good that the cast is leaving "in style!" as they all deserve!
