Dolly! The Musical coming to Broadway 2026?

She reminds them too much of Laura Osnes, who they still hate despite being proved right about the vaccines.
"

At this point, I start to assume this Ensemble17591322022 account is run by Laura Osnes / Chad Kimball in rotation

Maybe -- but most likely, it's Boris T. back again.

Faith Prince played Belle Poitrine from sixteen to seventy with intentional camp in Little Me. Jimmy Stewart played George Bailey from sixteen to forty with unintentional camp in It's a Wonderful Life, just by changing how his hair was combed and what sweater he was wearing.

It can be done.

Sher remains attached. Maybe it will never be great, but delivering an enjoyable enough "consumer product" should be the team's goal.

The thing I've never understood with the "multiple actors playing different eras of the same character" thing is a lack of age difference. Katie Rose Clark is 41, Carrie St. Louis is in her late 30s, and they read as nearly the same age. There was a decade between Stephanie J. Block and Teal Wicks, but they too read as nearly the same age. Same with the two MJs.

This is what bothered me the most about The Notebook. The two leads jumped from what, 16/17 to mid-late 20s? I was like...as fabulous as Jordan Tyson is, can't Joy Woods be doing all of this? This feels similar and unnecessary to me.

I think the only time the three actors conceit worked was Fun Home, since it chose three exceptionally different portions of Bechdel's life and effectively treated them as separate characters with unique arcs. Otherwise, it's just been: here's the kid, then the young adult, then the adult, as a single chronological continuum.

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

Announcement coming next month? I wonder if it will actually be the St. James, or August Wilson. Previews start end of October opening end of November/early December. I really am looking forward to this.

I'm actually surprised nobody has done a bio-musical with a similar conceit as Todd Haynes' I'M NOT THERE, where six different actors played different aspects of Bob Dylan's life in six different vignettes.

Does The Hemingway Play count as a play with multiple actors playing the same person - since the conceit of the play has the different Hemingways interact with each other?

Curious if you have inside information as to the specific dates. I have distant connection to the show and last communication was not encouraging of a Broadway transfer soon
