What do you think? I'm mixed on this... but it is something different than the current promotional artwork (a lighter version of the London revival artwork) and original 1979 artwork, but I like how they fit all three of the leads on the cover...

something about her pose and face makes Elena look like she's thinking 'whatever!'....i don't know there's something awkward or anti-climactic about that particular shot they used.

I actually prefer the top photo of the woman getting her nose pecked. Use that one!

This has to have been put up rapidly just to give everyone something to look at; doubt it's the actual cover. (Hope not)

BTW, now I am a fan I do love her to death - but truthfully, Ms. Roger isn't anywhere as juicy from the front as Ricky is from the back.

^ ^ Hey, hey, hey! Cut that out! They need to re-think Ricky's photo. Like I said in the other thread it is a very unflattering picture. They would be wise to include a full color poster of his lusciousness with the discs.

Amazon has taken down the cover image. Personally, I'm surprised they didn't stick with the black and red traditional EVITA logo used for the revival.

That cover art is perfect for this new tame production that portrays Evita as a loving martyr who was an icon and saint and real nice lady we all miss and love.

whenever someone says 'i'm sure this isn't the final artwork' on this board, it ALMOST ALWAYS is the final artwork.......that being said, i hope this is not the final artwork.

Considering the artwork used on evitamerch.com is the (much superior) image with the iconic Evita head logo, plus the fact Amazon seems to have removed this image, makes me think it isn't the final artwork. It looks like something a fan created in 5 minutes on Photoshop given how badly it's put together, with no effort even to blend the different images. And the director and choreographer are rarely credited on the cover on an album cover, although I know Hal Prince was for the OLC and OBC recordings.

I had a discount offer from Dress Circle if booked before 17th August. £15.00 off top price tickets so not a huge discount. I had never heard of Gemma Arterton but Google tells me she's been in some films such as Quantum Of Solace and St Trinians. I have never seen the film of MiD. I will see what the reviews are like and maybe get a day seat sometime but it's not on my must see list of up and coming shows.

Shows like Here Lies Love, The Scottsboro Boys and Urinetown sound much more promising.
