Em's so good to us! I'm so ready for this movie to come that I'm nervous. But if it lived up to your expectations, Emcee, I think it'll meet mine. Though I will miss Halloween!

thank you, Emcee. Your review was a breath of fresh air, and it settled most of my reservations...you've pretty much restored my overwhelming initial excitement for this film, and I can't wait to see it.
Also, the think you mentioned about the end (spoiler) when it flashed pictures so fast you can barely see them...if that is what i think it is like, then that makes me so happy!! I did a slide show for my drama dept. at the end of last yaer and used Finale B for the last song and I ended it the exact same way...neat!
so adam can't dance, huh? in la vie or in other stuff? hilarious.
You are the most eloquent writer I know, and I love that about you. This made me cry. I love you!!
A few questions to answer: Maureen's tatoo is not real, I believe.
Yes, I stayed for the end of the credits.
And again, I'm extremely flattered by this outpouring of thanks and support that you guys are giving me, and by all of the comments about how seriously people have taken to heart what I've said. I do have to admit that it's a bit of pressure to live up to in a way, but it's absolutely warm, fuzzy pressure. Oxymoron? Maybe. But whether you're a close friend, a friend I've yet to meet in person, an online acquiantance or someone I've never spoken to before, what you've all said means so, so much to me.
So now, thank YOU. All of you.
As usual, fantastic.
awwww.... *hugs* all around
yea, I was doing such a good job at calming myself down and then I saw the end of the credits, and I started all over again. people clapped, it was nice.

Just like everyone else on the board...I was so anxious for your review, and I seriously think I started to breathe easier after reading it today!!!!!!!
Thanks!
I'm still jealous you got to see the movie. And munk, twice??
I guess it's only a week away, I can deal. Barely.
Great Review, and it makes me feel good about this film again.
In between the swings/shills endless praises, munk's negativity and my own misgivings, I was getting worried.
But now I feel better, thanks to both you and munk.
Hopefully everything will be great when I finally see it.
THOUGH, as far as I know, it's not even being screened in Poland...

Em-I went to Disneyland yesterday and I kept thinking about you seeing the Rent movie, and then when I woke up this morning I raced to BWW to see if you had posted a review.
Like others have said, you have a way with words - your review was truly inspiring. Now I'm back to being as excited as I was three weeks ago. Thank you.

amazing review as always emcee! thanks so much for sharing that with us! :)
That was a very enjoyable read, Em; thanks for sharing
(And yes, I read the whole thing. Who cares about spoilers if I can't see the damn thing until April 2006, anyway? =/)
I wish you could see it sooner. I think you should sail to the States.
*waves hands* Just me, though.
Well, to amasis, doxy, me and i believe all those who have to wait for February, March, April etc.
1.)We LOVE RENT
2.)We are young and impatient people
3.)We'd be the first in line to pay for our ticket and probably multiple times. We will be the first to buy the DVD. YET the studio MAKES us wait all those months for it
4.)We have Internet access
You do the math.....
amasis
you aren't only one who can't see this movie in November.I'm not live in USA.but hey,my country is really sucks, cuz we have to wait untill June!:'( so..I'm going to NY lol
I wish you could see more more early!

I think you should sail to the States.
I was going to say... as much as I love RENT and the various cast members, I'm not about to pay $1400 in plane tickets to see the movie in NYC. But sailing.. now, that might be an option
.
fakeblue: enjoy the trip! I wish I could do the same...
Greekmusicalfan: Hm! Very interesting points...
