Does anyone know if it will still be broadcast on PBS?
If She Loves Me and Holiday Inn are going to be airing on PBS this fall, I imagine Falsettos will still be broadcast.

Does this just let you stream it? Is there anyway to purchase a physical copy? Or download a version?

YEAH! This is SO wonderful! I was not about to go to a theater where people might open their cell phones and annoy me. And yes, you can buy it, and add it to your library. ![]()

Yes, PBS confirmed it will air as part of their Great Performances series. Unlike the other shows they've given air dates for, FALSETTOS wasn't given an air date just that it will air this Fall.

Phew! I saw the cinema broadcast, but my mother was hoping to see the PBS broadcast.
I'm really really really hoping for a DVD release. This is something I want to own forever.

Awesome. I'm sure I'll DVR it off PBS but I'd like to buy a copy too. Thanks for the response
I apologize for bumping this, but with BroadwayHD, are you able to download content or is it strictly streaming only? I ask because some of the responses here mention being able to purchase and download FALSETTOS, which I really really want to do.

"You can only stream on BroadwayHD. If you have a subscription then presumeably you can stream any time you want to view it. I've found their streaming to be spotty when I've used it. Not sure if that is my laptop and internet provider, but it can be really annoying. I'll definitely PVR the PBS broadcast.

Im so bummed, I thought I could download it today. But, you can only stream it on BroadwayHD. I will still do it, but I truly hope this doesn't take literally 4 YEARS to come out on DVD like Carousel at Lincoln Center did. ![]()
I just watched this. Was the orchestra so quiet in the movie theater screenings too? There were parts I could barely hear the music. Bole looked exhausted on this, never seen him with such eye bags.
I saw the original Broadway run a few times and this doesn't really pack the same punch at all. E for effort.
Any word on when Holiday Inn will be back on BroadwayHD?

Well, the show took quite an emotional toll on Christian, his wonderful New York Times article explained it all. I understand the bags. I think he was also prepping for the show that is so bad I will not name here. I just love that I can watch it at home now. Didn't need audience noise, and Stephanie? She should have won that Tony.

The sound was quiet at the theater where I saw it, too. (I'm in the desert a couple of hours from L.A.) I expected a Dolby blast, but once I got used to listening carefully as we did in the old days, I had no problem hearing it.

Watching this again was wonderful. I had not seen this in 8 months, I forgot how much I loved everyone of these characters. They all truly earned those Tony nominations, and they all looked amazing. That is just what Christian looks like, he had no bags more than usual. Just part of his exquisite, expressive face. He is handsome, and a leading man, just like Brandon and Andrew. Stephanie, Tracie, and Betsy have all been in starring roles before, and they kill it in this.
This was the greatest cast I have seen in a while and the chemistry between all of them was so special. If there were such a thing as "Best Ensemble Cast" it would have gone to them. The lighting, sound, and cinematography was perfection.
Amazing, Special. Powerful. And perfectly time with the atrocity of this world we are living in right now. What a gift.

Hi Margo, I had no idea that a video recording of Carousel existed. Is this the one with Michael Hayden and Audra? If so, where can I find it..?

Margo is referring to the concert version with Kelli O'Hara & Jessie Mueller.
