You're not thinking rationally, sweetie. Foxx didn't ask his fans, friends and other team members to run around to different message boards posting that he HAD the job already. He didn't need to.
I understand Fantasia wants the role badly, and if it's meant to be, it'll happen, but I would advise her and her TEAM to stop shoving her down everyone's throat as a sure shot for the role when auditions are still ongoing. If the part were truly hers already, the auditions would have been cancelled, but they haven't been. The search for Effie is still at large and all the hyping for Fantasia can't change that.

Posted: 11/1/05 at 5:36pmEven if Fantasia couldn't read a word, she could still be brilliant in the role. Child Actors do lenghty roles all the time and can't read the script. There are other ways to memorize besides reading.

I have a couple of Beyonce' reports cards...and all of her teachers have indicated how shy or how afraid she was to speak in front of her class. ....Yet all of her teachers scored her the highest for reading.
Beyonce' is an emotional speaker...and she is southern/country. Yet beautiful.
But I promise you...you will never hear Beyonce' going public about her not being able to read...cause she can.

Would you have her take the SATs to score this role? Why don't we see how her fencing skills are, while we're at it?
I'll bet she can't hold a British accent either. To heck with her!
Tatum O'Neil won an Oscar at the age of 10. I didn't check her report card first, though. Bet SHE read at a fifth grade level.

Posted: 11/1/05 at 5:47pmI'm not attacking anyone who is for Fantasia, I'm criticizing the way she and her Team have chosen to lobby for the role of Effie. By insisting she has the job while others are still auditioning for the role and by shredding the accomplishments of anyone else who is brought up as a contender for the role, she and her team are looking quite desperate and disrespectful. This distasteful campaining has been going on for months now and it's starting to turn off a lot more people than you could ever imagine.

If these threads bother you skip them but you can't control what other people post. If you want to control people I suggest you have children or start your own biased message board where everyone else thinks like you do. I can assure you I would never post on your board.
