Either from a song of from a spoken line?

There was a line in 42 Street that always got me shouting and applauding. I don't remember the exact phrase, but it went something like this:
"Musical comedy, the greatest words in the English language."

"Shoes on the table!" - Blood Brothers. It gets repeated SO often in the show. It always makes me laugh when I think about it.

"I found a green glass love"
Thoroughly Modern Millie
"To love another person is to see the face of God."
Gator, where is that from?
The quote from Millie(I saw the show twice and LOVED it), but I don't get that...would you explain it?
I am obsessed with several quotes, but I love listening to the ACT 1 Finale of South Pacific when Nellie says "I love you too, honestly I do, I gotta take the jeep back" and gets really nervous but although this is because she is racist and all that judgement, it really makes me go through a lot of emotions, especially I imagine how he must have felt like, to be dumped by something that happened in the past.
It's from Les Miserables. I was in a cab and it was time to get out...so I couldn't include the play at that time. There are so many others.
My most recent quote that really stuck with me and always will is from YANK!
One character says to Stu..."If you don't live, you can't change anything."
"Hear my song/ It's the one thing I have that has never let me down." -Songs for a New World

Who can explain it?
Who can tell you why?
Fools give you reasons;
Wise men never try.
"Work is what you do for others, liebschen, art is what you do for yourself." -- Sunday in the Park With George
...and on the other end of the seriousness scale, from City of Angels:
"You gloating ignoramus.
You haven't any shame.
Hey, I'm a famous shamus
And most people don't know your name."
Oh, if life were made of moments,
Even now and then a bad one...
But if life were only moments,
Then you'd never know you had one.
And also:
Where are we to go?
Where are we ever to go?
I absolutely adore Sondheim's lyrics in Into the Woods.

From Company:
"But who will I take care of?"
"Blow out the candles, Robert, and make a wish. Want something. Want something."
From Cabaret:
"Where are your troubles now? Forgotten? I told you so. We have no troubles here. Here, life is beautiful. The girls are beautiful. Even the orchestra is beautiful."
Ragtime:
"Just like that tune, simple and clear
I've come to hear new music.
Breaking my heart, op'ning a door
Changing the world, new music
I'll hear it forevermore."
From Sunday in the Park with George:
"And when the woman that you wanted goes,
You can say to yourself, 'Well, I give what I give.'
But the woman who won't wait for you knows
That however you live there's a part of you
Always standing by. Mapping out the sky."
Merrily We Roll Along:
"We have got to be the luckiest people that ever lived. You guys realize, after this moment that the three of us are sharing here together, nothing is gonna be the same -- never like the way it was? Every dream that we ever had, we're gonna be able to do it. I mean, anything. What a time to be starting out. What a time to be alive."
Tick, Tick...BOOM!:
"I sing, 'Come to your senses, defenses are not the way to go...'
Over and over and over 'til I get it right."
Chess:
"As you watch yourself caring
About a minor sporting triumph
Sharing you win with esoterics,
Paranoids, hysterics who don't
Pay attention to what goes on
Aound them, they leave the ones
They love the way they found them.
A normal person must
Dismiss you with disgust
And weep for those who trusted you."
"And I think to myself, 'Oh, I've got my very own Jew!'" - Company.
Sweetestsiren, that quote from Sunday in the Park with George quote is one of my absolute favorites, too!
Honestly, I normally hate the lyrics of ALW's shows, but one of my favorite lyrics comes from Phantom:
"You'd never get away
With all this in a play
But if it's loudly sung
And in a foreign tongue
It's just the sort of story
Audiences adore
In fact, the perfect opera!"
"without the shooting stars
without the sound of bells
without the violins
love is wonderful enough"

"I'd love for know me well
to see me falling into place
to see the face behind the face behind the face...
I'd love for you to see me clear
with all my virtues and my lies
with all the pleasure and the pain around the eyes...
I want the opportunity to show you
the whole damn display
to open like a flower and to know you
will stay
I wish that you would take me home
and take the time to work me out
to say yes there he is
yes, that's what he's about
The joy of me, the silliness, the hell-
I'd love for you could know me
very well
