" Don't take offense CATSNYrevival, but I find it funny that you are talking about badly written songs when you have a Dracula banner for your sig. "

I love ignorance. NYBroadwayNY, I never endorsed, nor defended DRACULA as a piece of brilliant theatrics. I nearly support it. I never said it was well written, nor would I ever say that, because it's not true. There is a difference from being a crazy obsessed "Wiz-O-Maniac" and supporting a show I enjoyed. Please, think before you post, sweetie.

"NO.. I...HAVE...NOT...POSTED...IN...THE..."OBNOXIOUS VOICES"...THREAD...EVER....
Did I answer the question that time???"

Yes, and thank you for being so nice about it. And why does it make someone closed-minded to dislike "Wicked"? I've listened to the CD. I read the book. I didn't care for either. That's simply my opinion.

Ok Ok. Im not saying anyone here is doing this but some people do like Wicked. All of you who dont like it for whatever reason dont have to say it sucks. It obviously doesnt suck, though u dont have to like it. Ive noticed more bad things are said about Wicked by Wicked haters much more then about Avenue Q by Avenue Q haters. Wicked is doing very well on its own and we really dont need to protect it, it will be around for a very long time. Not just Wicked but all musicals. Some posts are really mean about the show and it just gets people mad. We can dissagree but we shouldnt be nasty to a show lol. I mean I personally don't like Avenue Q, but it def. doesnt suck. Just watch some little things we all say. Stay happy :) - derek

That was advice, I wasnt trying to be mean, specially cuz CatsNY and I are pretty good friends lol and we both love the wizard of oz. But also I think people who havent seen the show shouldnt just judge it on its cast recording. Nor any musical for that matter :) - ur all great (some of u are really b**chy too :) and thats y i love u - derek

Actually CATSNYrevival, that was my line you quoted. As long as you aren't being delusional about Dracula, then I can take your opinion on Wicked more seriouosly.

I totally agree with you Derek.

I'll edit it. It stands for "I totally agree". re: Favorite Sad Song. ( And defying Gravity is not sad. It's obnoctious.)

Your forgiven CATS. I have a lot of compassion for those who are holding out for a Cats revival. :)

re: Favorite Sad Song. ( And defying Gravity is not sad. It's obnoctious.)

I admit that I found "Fine Fine Line" from Avenue Q to be absolutely touching...as for sad though...I'm not sure.

Some of the sad songs I think are:
"Lots Wife" and "Salty Tear Drops" from Caroline, or Change
"Downtown/Skid Row" from Little Shop of Horrors
"On My Own" from Les Mis
"For Good" from Wicked
"Little Lamb" from Gypsy...I know it's a weird choice, I tend to think that Louise is sad when she's singing it.
"Love Look Away" from Flower Drum Song
I have to think of more.

Back to the other topic...I read this board quite often, and I don't see a lot of bitterness on THIS board. In my opinion, I see a lot more Wicked snarking (not full blown bashing but fun at the expense of Wicked)than I do of Avenue Q bashing. However, I'm looking at things with a Wicked-fan's perspective

However, that doesn't mean there aren't people who are still bitter. I think it's sad that people can't just enjoy shows without worrying which is better. It's times like that where it seems the Tonys hurt more than they help.

I'm not a "bitter" Tony person. Sure, I wanted WICKED to win, but I think AQ is great. There are just some things about it I didn't like.(like most shows)

I'm just tired of all the dissing of WICKED. It too is a great show. That's all. I like all Broadway.
