"i could never rescue" you isnt a song from L5Y. its called if i didnt believe in you"

yes it is....the last track "Goodbye Until Tomorrow/I Could Never Rescue You"...and it's a great song too.
"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

LilMiz, I think the reprise from Evita you were thinking of is the reprise of DON'T CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA - the bit that begins "I want to tell the people of Argentina", yes?

That's another to add to my list - EVA'S LAMENT. Oh, and the solo bit after the fall of the barricades in Les Mis. For some reason it gets me every time - the tears start just as the barricade turns to reveal Enjolras hanging there.

We will cover you reprise - especially sung by Mykal Rand who played Collins in London and Dublin
Written in the stars - not the German version. Only cried there because I was thinking of the English words. Translations can be pure crap!!!

Sad Songs Say So Much

most of mine like fine line and for good are up here so here are some additions (sorry if there are repeats!)

"meadowlark" from the baker's wife
"i know the truth" - aida
"home" - beauty and the beast (though yes hopeful in a way by the end it always
makes me cry!)
"if i can't love her" - B&B
"endless night" - lion king
"corner of the sky" - pippin (i think it just really resonates with me)

and "across 9th avenue" from susan egan's new cd (it's not a show but it's so sad!!)

"Nothing is an accident, We are free to have it all, We are what we want to be, It's in ourselves to rise or fall!!" - "Fortune Favors the Brave" from Aida - the love that never died
