The two that come to my mind are

the end of "Buddy's Blues" where those insane horns come in doing this very fast descending line. It just is so wonderfully arresting, and practically every recording of that song gets that ending so perfectly.

also, "Being Alive" brings me chills every single time on that last line. It's like hearing someone sing the national anthem

I love the french horn part at the end of "A Weekend in the Country" as well as the ending of "Another Hundred People" in the Original Cast Recording.

Not so much the "ending" of the number, but the line that Pirelli and the Beadle sing together in the Final Ballad is masterful. Hot tenor-on-countertenor action.

I completely agree! Watching this song performed at the Sondheim Birthday Celebration is one of the most beautiful moments on stage in my recent memory. I always feel like the strings are ascending straight into heaven. Beautiful ending to a great song!

"Maybe you could show me,

How to let go,

Lower my guard,

Learn to be free.

Maybe if you whistle,

Whistle for me."

A toast to that invincible bunch, The dinosaurs surviving the crunch. Let's hear it for the ladies who lunch--
Everybody rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Rise!

And the ending of Sunday.
