I bet they release the casting announcement tomorrow.

Um...seems to be no. I just saw today's "fnlmusical" official Instagram post and a few people asked when the cast would be announced. The answer was hopefully soon.

Looks like Levin Kern is Barrie

Also, at the Broadway in Chicago concert, Christine Dwyer sang All That Matters so I think it's safe to assume that she'll be Slyvia, or at least in the cast.

LMK: "He was telling me all about the new cool things in the show for the tour."
I'm so curious what those are!

Kevin? If so, that's great news. He was wonderful as Barrie. He brought youthfulness, freshness, and considerable charm to the role.
Very interested to see to see what changes they make for the tour.

No comment on Dwyer and whether or not she is cast, but for future reference, actors who perform at those concerts is not always reflective of the touring company. Depending on availability and numerous other factors, you could be seeing an understudy from the Broadway / another company who is not performing in the tour or an actor who is hired specifically to do promos such as that.

I wonder what's making them hold off on making a cast announcement.

This is the first time I have heard something good about anyone/anything from After Eight. I am quite curious to see this Kevin Kern dude now.

Valentina,
I guess you haven't read that many of my posts. I've had lots of good things to say about both shows and people, eg. Mary, Mary, Dear World, Any Wednesday, etc, etc. I'm really very enthusiastic and unstinting in my praise --- of things that deserve it.

Love Kevin in this role and it's great he has it for the tour...talented and exceptionally nice too.
I hope we get to see the rest of the cast soon.

I guess I haven't, After Eight. I didn't mean for my comment to make fun of you. Just expressing surprise and taking your compliments for the actor as very high praise because, as you put it, they only come when deserved.

Maybe tomorrow?

Christine Dwyer is playing Sylvia. The Teal Wicks part will now be a featured ensemble track.

Kevin Kern, Christine Dwyer, & Tom Hewitt will lead the tour...

I would not have recognized Kevin in that photo they used in the announcement. Is that a current photo with a new beard or something from another show ...because that looks nothing like the Kevin Kern know.
Is it really him?

Here's some rehearsal footage and interviews with the cast: https://youtu.be/qhEACHaG-b8
Also the outfit Christine is wearing looks eerily familiar: https://youtu.be/G4P7ME19ySo

Little known fact, it's in every leading lady's contract that she must wear a black rehearsal dress and beige LaDuca Can Can boots for the press presentation.

^hilarious!
Did anyone go tonight?

Saw first preview last night. While there were a few bumps that will no doubt be ironed out, I thought it was a lovely evening at the theatre. The first half hour or so has been totally re-tooled. Brand new opening number, and many revisions throughout. While not totally successful, its much improved on the way the show was structured on Broadway. Cast is fantastic. Especially Tom Hewitt.
There is a PAINFULLY AWKWARD reprise of Stronger after the curtain call though that has got to go.

The tour is apparently going to Japan next summer. They talk about it at 1:27 in this video https://youtu.be/PsfYwaJmGzk
