re: First Broadway Show?

My first Broadway show was 'The Rocky Horror Show Live on Broadway.' I believe it was in 2000 or 2001 ish. It is still my favorite Broadway experience, as well as the most fun I've ever had at a show. I saw it three times and wish I could have seen it 20 times more.

re: First Broadway Show?

Beauty and the Beast - August, 1996 - Palace Theatre
Starring Kerry Butler, Jeff McCarthy, Marc Kudisch, Peter Bartlett, Beth Fowler, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Chip. The current Beast, Steve Blanchard, was the standby for that role.

I remember the stage door experience vividly.

The first show I saw on Broadway was Irving Berlin's "Miss Liberty" in November of 1949.

re: First Broadway Show?

Opening night of "CAMELOT" at the O'keefe Center (the World Premiere) in 1960. I was six years old and fell in love with musicals. So my dad said "we'll go see the real thing" and wewent to New York and saw, among others, "Gypsy".
