FIVE FAVES: ROLES SHE'D LOVE TO PLAY

MARTHA: "Don't you think Michael and I would be good in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I certainly do. Of course, I've seen the two of us in action!"
CLEOPATRA: "Steven Soderbergh and I have been talking about putting her in a 3D rock 'n' roll musical, but I'd love to play her any way I could. What a fascinating character!"
SOMETHING CHEKHOV: "Trevor talked so much about how Chekhovian A Little Night Music was that I started thinking I'd love to play one of those beautifully wounded women of his."
A ROLE IN GYPSY: "It's one of the greatest musicals, but I'm too old now for Gypsy and still too young for Mama Rose. But that's such a wonderful part, I'd wait forever to play it."
ANYTHING LLOYD WEBBER: "I guess it's because I never got cast in Aspects of Love, but I've always wanted to do one of his shows....Don't worry, my day will come!"

I told her at the stage door that she should do Kiss of the Spider Woman, she told me she has never sung the score of that show.

Realistically Zeta-Jones could play it in about 5 years. I just worry she is way too glamorous for the role.

Trevor Nunn will direct a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Love" as part of the upcoming slate at London's Menier Chocolate Factory...

"Aspects," the first major London revival of the 1987 show, has book and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart. It begins perfs July 3 and runs through Sept. 11, with casting to be announced. Nunn also helmed the original; his other collaborations with Lloyd Webber include "Cats," "Starlight Express," "Sunset Boulevard" and "The Woman in White." <<<

When I saw ALNM, Gypsy was the first thing that came to mind as a role she would be awesome at.

"Blood Brothers" would be a great project. If she were de-glammed she would make a very moving Mother and Jackman as the narrator would be great! amoni-thats a great idea.

If she played Rose right now this minute, she'd be much closer in age to the actual Rose Hovick than any other Madame Roses have been.
