If I ever strike it rich, my first order of business will be to produce full-scale productions of BRING BACK BIRDIE and RAGGEDY ANN...I know I will lose millions, but if I'm filthy rich, I won't care.
And if I asked the pianist at Marie's Crisis to play "Rag Dolly" or "Blue," he would!
He might, but than you'd be thrown out into the streets by the drunk patrons and that bar wench. BRING BACK BIRDIE is pretty baffling to me - I don't get your affinity for that. At least RA was bizarre!
I just have an affinity for all shows that lasted fewer than 10 performances on Broadway...I love them all, regardless of the show. RAGGEDY ANN just happens to be my obsession right now.

I would totally bring back the original CARRIE and ROZA, with Mary Testa.
My ROZA obsession was sooooo last year...though I still sing "Happiness Is" and "Different" every once in a while.

Everyone keeps saying parade and Ragtime. Technically neither shows are flops. Parade was a limited run at lincoln center (which is the norm) and Ragtime was in the ford theatre for 2-3 years.
but Ragtime did not make back its investment and therefor is categorized as a flop.
Did PARADE actually play out its entire scheduled run? When I saw it, the theater was more than half empty (though I LOVED the show).
I'd love to see a production of Ballroom.
but only if we bring Dorothy Loudon back from the dead...
same goes with a revival of THE FIG LEAVES ARE FALLING!

My ROZA obsession is like CATS at the Wintergarden. Now and forever.

How did I know you would say "Bring Back Birdie" Granted...I liked it too. What about other flop sequels, like "Whorehouse Goes Public" or "Annie Warbucks/Annie 2"? All of which are kinda catchy if rotten.
I've only heard the songs to WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC and ANNIE 2. From what I've heard, I love WHOREHOUSE and hate ANNIE 2. With a few more listens, that may change though...I'll probably fall in love with both. Haven't really given ANNIE 2 much of a chance yet...
agreed on sidce show. and i say brooklyn in a smaller offbway theater. i think if they were to go work more on the book and minimize that more the show could really work. it was just to small for a bway show. i say with an intimate theater it could work.

Light in the Piazza didnt flop.
id say DRACULA, ALL SHOOK UP, and if this is considered a flop, SWEET CHARITY
Do not think you can call Piazza a flop
Revive all the vampire musicals - get a CD on all for Bryan
My friend is obesessed with "The Utter Glory of Morrissey Hall," which ran one night on Broadway back in the 70s. It was about a Clark Gesner musical about Catholic schoolgirls who plot to kill their nun teachers. It sounds like a riot.
I'd also love to see Roundabout do a star-studded revival of "Anyone Can Whistle." Please, please, please.

Yeah, you're right. Piazza isn't a flop. But it wasn't doin' so hot when I saw it. The balcony was almost empty. And I shuddered seeing all those empty seats on the telecast.
And yes, we must send Bryan cast recordings of Dracula, Lestat, Dance of the Vampires, Hot Feet, Ring of Fire, and In My Life for Christmas.
