I enjoyed this (FG) far more than current Bway Gatsby (BG). Largely because it understood the book, where BG did not and tried to make it a romance.

Like Kad, I hated the preponderance of ballads ..all performed down center in a spotlight.

Did I LOVE FG? No. But there were many elements that worked really well. Enough so that I went back to see it a second time to see whatever growth there might have been since the second (third?) preview

I hope to get to see Cromer's vision!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Look whatever happens with Florence's Gatsby, I will definitely be there. In my opinion, her score is probably one of the best of the past twenty years! I've been listening to the audio from it non-stop and it's one I come back to more than any other cast recording rn.

Solea is doing Gun and Powder which is probably far more exciting than anything in Florence Welch Gatsby. Gun and Powder is a wild and crazy roller coaster ride of a musical that I love. Not since Teeth have we gotten something like this, it’s amazing.

I’m definitely curious about Wanted. The EP they released is very good but on the other hand, the show is from the same producers of How to Dance in Ohio (and we all know how that turned out), plus there is that lawsuit from Ciara Renée
