I would suggest Kelly Clarkson, she has a great voice, and her music is really catchy.

Random but thought i'd post this. Just found a photo gallery the Boston Globe posted about world aids day tomorrow. And the RENT critics said that the movie came "too late to make an impact" as if AIDS has disappeared....sheesh...

My gosh! I've finally escaped from the OT board. Hello main board people! Oh, and hello to Fredi too, of course!

Out of *everything* that's happened re: the RENT movie, the most surprising thing to me is the media's take on AIDS. So many reviews have alluded to the notion that AIDS isn't as crucial/relevant today, etc. I'm blown away by some of the things I've read.

What's it about?
Well...this is what the professor asked us to write about:
Select any genre not used in class and look at two films in the genre that are indicative of either historical change or breadth in that genre. Discuss te ways in which the variations in that genre are reflected in the film techniques used. In other words, how do the film techniques within the genre change over time, or how do they differ in different sub-genres?
Sounds like fun, eh? I didn't think it would end up being so difficult. Sigh.
The Main Board is cooler.
Oh, another band! Straylight Run. Awesome.
Yeah, I was kidding... I've like them for 6 years and I don't care what people think.
Anyone want to write my Ideological Critcism on "Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical" paper?
Has anyone heard of Keri Noble? I've recently fallen in love with her music. I admit it can be a bit monotonus at times, but her voice is awesome; she has amazing range!

No, because someone has to write my paper first. Seriously, a cookie is being held aside. You know you want one.

Becky, i completely agree. I was expecting the close-minded responses re: the relationships portrayed in this movie, but the AIDS commentary left me completely dumbfounded.
