Is Naughty an anthem for our less well endowed bottoms who want to top but don't have the confidence or a gay friend to help them overcome the size queens?
From 'Naughty'
"Even if you're little you can do a lot you musn't let a little thing like little stop you. If you sit around and let them get on top you, you might as well be saying you think that it's ok"
"Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty"
"What if you haven't got a fairy to fix it"
"If you always 'take it on the chin' and wear it"
Let's not overlook ANNIE: "The son will come out tomorrow."
Great. You just gave the "million moms" more to take a stand against.
While Googling MATILDA, I actually came across some woman's Christian blog entry stating that it's a "pro-life" show ("every new life is a miracle"). Humans have a capacity to read whatever they want into anything.
I've always thought "Naughty" was a bit... naughty. Whenever I've heard someone say "take it on the chin" they're definitely not using the phrase the same way Matilda uses it in the song.
It never occurred to me that it could be an anthem for less well endowed bottoms, but it wouldn't surprise me if Tim Minchin was in that camp.
lol, Henry. By that standard, I suppose that Monty Python's "Every Sperm is Sacred" qualifies The Meaning of Life in the same way!
Does she take it on the chin or not?
^She doesn't, but I bet some of the chorus boys will.
Well as long as we're talking about double entendres, Let's not forget about the classics:
"But if baby I'm the bottom, you're the top"
"Blow Gabriel Blow"
Wow - that is a pretty disgusting and inappropriate take on the material that says so much more about the original poster than it does about any true subtext. You do realize she is 5? CATSNY, talking to you too.
My recommendation is that this post be deleted and we never speak of it again.
I agree. I find it appalling. Absolutely disgusting. Hateful and the definition of tastelessness. Shocking, even. Revolting might be a better word. Or vulgar, odious or dare I say even repugnant. It's an abomination of the english language to use those words in the order in which you used them in to create the context of the statement you made.
Oh, lighten up....it was a JOKE. (And you are getting worked up over a FICTIONAL child.)
NO. She's a real child! REAL! I saw her with my own two eyes! SHE EXISTS.
