Posted: 7/5/07 at 11:08amI just tried it at work, and I was able to print out a pass. According to the pass I'm #26, but a friend of mine at work said she saw this on the news, so it will be interesting to see how many people show up.

Posted: 7/5/07 at 11:41amFor the person inquiring about DC, it's being held at AMC - Mazza Gallery in Friendship Heights. I was kind of hoping it would play at the Uptown Theatre, but something tells me, that's where Harry Potter will be playing.

Just get there EARLY. It's first come/first served, and you never know how many people will be there.
I'm going to post this on my blog. Thanks!

I printed Mine. Metro goes there so I can go cause there is not way in hell I would spend the time to try and drive in Washington, DC for this.
I wish they had it at the Verizon center movie place instead as that one is much closer but since my Birthday is the 19th this is a nice present to myself.
And I agree that it is the fun of getting there early and be in line with all these people who want to see the movie. And it is free so it is not like you have any reason to complain.
I saw Broken English and Zodiac this way and it was nice to see them when the theater is full.

Those of you who are having trouble, you might check to see if you clicked which sex you are. I missed that question on both IE and Netscape. I checked it over again and found my mistake and it let me print the pass.

"what time should i go for the ny screening?"
It's hard to say. Generally speaking, the movies that have special screenings generally appear in the larger cinemas, so I don't think they always fill up (even for the big blockbusters). But this screening is at Lincoln Center, it really depends on which screen it's going to be on. I wouldn't get there any later than 2 hours before.

I did print it out for NYC but I will probably try to see the Night at the Operetta concert with bway stars at Town Hall that nite instead.

Anyone going at Woodland hills?
Its only the day beforeit opens but hey,at least its free right. my mother got one too so hopefully all four of us in my family can go. There really is no reason to go only the day before it opens besides the fact that you save fourty bucks.haha.
does anyone know if the screening pass number isthe number of people going so far? because mine only said 7...

Posted: 7/15/07 at 8:03pmSomething funny is going on with Woodland hills. They have no idea about the showing. Plus the website says it takes place on the 16th but the ticket says the 19th.

I was so excited about this but now I have to work. I won't get out until 6, at least. BUMMER. I guess I'll wait the extra three days. haha. And pay the extra $11. not haha. Unless someone wants to meet/pow-wow and save a spot for me! Definitely not allowed, I'd imagine.
Mine was pass #191 from a few weeks ago.

Posted: 7/16/07 at 10:16amI just printed mine. I'm going tonight at 7:30pm at Lincoln Square. My guess is that the line has already started forming at Lincoln Center. Anyone else on here going to that screening?

If you don't fill in all your info I think you get the white screen. My friend tried to do it without filling in her address but it wouldn't let her go forward.
The site said the 16th but my pass in MN was for the 9th. I think the 16th was the general date sponosred by eVite but if the theater wasn't able to accomodate them they moved it to a different date. I've seen screenings three weeks ahead all the way down to the day before.
Remember...like I've said before...it's FREE. You take what you can get is what I say!
BTW, I had a WONDERFUL time at the screening last week...I can't wait to see the movie again when it's released!

been to a few of the D.C. screenings in the past... the theater is right down the street from my apartment, but usually the crowds get crazy once the lines start forming. i'll get there an hour early. thats the best i can do since i work till 5:00 (all the way out in maryland).
i was very surprised to see that i could still print tickets on the day of the event! glad i found out about it... thanks to my friend dottie for the heads up. :)

Very unlikely. Every time I see a movie during the week in Times Square, the AMC Theater is always having a pre-screening, and the lines never seem to be that long. I highly doubt Hairspray will be any different. Fun fact: they are also having the New York premiere party tonight at Roseland.

Posted: 7/16/07 at 11:33amWow. So maybe I will have a shot getting in if I arrive a bit later than 2 1/2 hours before.
