From The Ausiello Report-
So, when's the Gilmore Girls reunion?
Graham: (Laughs) We're totally doing the Gilmore Girls movie. I'm never, ever going to do anything else. There's Gilmore Girls: The Musical. The line of clothing called Lorelai. And the perfume called Stars Hollow...

I get that she was joking, but I'm wondering what your reactions would be if this ever happened. Personally I would love to see Kelly Bishop on Broadway again if she did a reprise as Emily Gilmore.
It would just be a ton of ridiculously fast patter songs.
If they get a better actress than the girl who plays Rory I am fine with WHATEVER.
I love the show, but I don't care to see it as a musical. I don't think that would turn out very well.
The poor cast would have to keep up that Lorelai patter for 2+ hours, 8 times a week...I'm not sure there's enough crack cocaine in all of New York to sustain all of them.
I don't think it would turn out very well either, but for some reason I find it fun to imagine.haha. The Kirk Song, Lorelai's Lament...
Well if they ever do something like this, Broadway would not be a good idea. Maybe Off-Broadway..or off-off-Broadway..
I would rather...DAWSONS CREEK: THE MUSICAL!
Just me then?

Alexis Bledel is bland, but when Lauren Graham sang last week, she wasn't horrible per se. I watch this show weekly, it has kind of gone downhill. It just wouldn't be a very good idea at all, even if Kelly Bishop was there. What would the plot even be?

haha the Kirk Song. well, Lorelai did sing last episode!
It's interesting to think about, I guess. I just find Rory to be so much of an unmusical character, you know? I mean we know she's a huge music fan, so is Lorelai, but she's just so blah to me.
oi... yeah, no.

Well, Lauren Graham was in an a cappella group at my school when she was in college...
I don't know if that says much of anything.

I think she has a good voice

Heh. Lauren has a theatre background too so it could work. Not that I necessarily want to see it.
Reading that article made me so sad. I will really miss this show. Even if the last couple seasons have been... not up to par. And for years I've been hearing about the last words Amy wanted to end the show with. I'm so sad the didn't work those in.
I LOVE and adore Lauren Graham.
I realllly do not like Alexis Bledel.
I would pay to see Lauren Graham. But still...a Gilmore Girls musical is hard to picture. I would prefer a Jason Robert Brown kind of music for this show..
I'm not letting this Dawson idea just lie dead. Just picture it...
Joey:
The stars set the same scene
Each night as they have before
I row my boat across the creek
To catch a glimpse of the boy next door
Oh, Dawson Leery
Won't you look my way?
I climb to your window,
and hope and pray
We've known each other since childhood
But lately my thoughts of you border on the more risque
Come on, it so could work.
it is not happening Lauren Graham was being witty. Although bring Bishop back to Bway.
We know it's not happening. Just talking about the idea.

stop, the entire cast of Dawson's Creek annoys me. Now I cant stop thinking about tv shows turned into musicals.
what about saved by the bell? lol

I absolutely can't stand that show. I used to love it, but then I began to realize how much I disliked Alexis Bledel. Kinda funny to imagine it as a musical though. lol and Friends the musical would be very interesting as well.
