I loved the last episode, as much as I kept hoping for a show tune or a kurt solo, it was nice to see them going back to their pop roots. My favorite number was Copacabana just because it's one of my favorite songs. Blaine KILLED as well with his interpretation of Take a look at me now. And of course Dame Lea was exquisite as always.

It's no secret that there is a lot of hate on this board for the show, so Gleeks it's time to emerge and show some love!!!

It's a free country so haters are welcome too. Just keep an open mind and keep it classy.

I admire that you watch the show. That being said I do not know how you do it! Trust me , I tried just could not get into it. Enjoy the rest of the season though! I think I saw a preview and they are goin to bust out some Beastie Boys. So there is a chance I might stick around after Idol and watch that one.

And Jordan, I won't deny she's a bitch, but I like my divas with attitude. That's part of my obsession with her. One of the many reasons why I love Patti as well.

Honey, there's a difference between "diva" and "bitch". Patti is a diva. Lea is just an all out horrible human being. Big difference. You got a lot to learn, kid.

Blaxx, I've seen some pretty incredible things in this board, but I'd never though I'd even had to prove my sex!!

I guess it's a matter of taste, as much as I love Julie Andrews and Angela Lansbury, to me a proper diva should be a bitch.

July Andrews is my favorite porn star. "Cherry Poppins" was an amazing movie.

I am very grateful that Glee exists.

Before 2009 not many kids had interest in theatre, singing or the arts in general. Now it lives more than ever. There have never been so many school musicals and projects etc since Glee.

Glee really made theatre, singing and acting interesting again for the youth and on schools. I feel that the generation of 80's kids do have a sort of appreciation for the arts/broadway etc, because of the Golden age of the Disney Classics back then. But the generations from 1996 to 2009 were only exposed to Pokemon, cars and finding nemo.

The world looked very different in 2007/2008, before Glee.
Let's not forget that.

Also, it might have influence on the amount of future performers who are inspired by it. We will find out in about 10 years.

I have seen NO difference in kids reactions to the arts. None, zippo, nada.

My drama kids dislike the show (although many watched the first season, but dwindled severely after that); my non drama kids have never watched it.

I know of NO places performing MT that weren't doing it before Glee. Not a one.

High School Musical, however, created quite a difference in participation. (Not that that was any better -- but at least it was about THEATER.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Completely agree with Dave. Whether you like it or not Glee has definitely changed the perception of the performing arts in today's youth.

Drama, while I don't agree with you on Glee, I agree on HSM. That was the movie that introduced me to live action musicals, and at merely twelve years old it made me want stardom more than ever. For many years after HSM, my only aspiration in life was to become the next Zac Efron.

Part of having common sense is having an open mind. You can't just hate something for the sake of hating it and not realizing that there might be some good things on it. Well you can, but I wouldn't call it common sense. I've never said the show is perfect, and I've even pointed out some things that I didn't like. You can't judge a person just because they like a show you don't like and is not afraid of showing it.

You can't disagree with me. In MY community -- where I know well over 50 drama teachers, directors, camp leaders, etc -- there has been no change due to Glee. It is a conversation we have had about this.

Jordan -- remember when you were 17 and knew everything? Yeah, that.
