...why are they calling her Effie?

The fan boys/girls can claim all they want that autotune isn't used on all of the tracks. But I'm sorry, to my ears, that is CLEARLY autotone on "Effie, im TIRED."

Christ, you know it took me a minute to realize that was Colfer and not a girl with a horrible voice singing. Hr should really thank his parents for cutting off his balls when he was a baby so he could have that horrendously annoying "little girl shrieking" voice of his.

My favorite part is Matt Morrison trying to sound thug...

I'm sorry I cannot stand Chris's voice. It's the most annoying over done thing ever.

For a board that prides itself on hating GLEE so much, we sure do post a thread like every other day about it.

Why don't you all watch the episode before judging!!!!

I'm judging the song not the episode!!!

I honestly can't wait to see this trainwreck of a song happen on screen.

Even as a fan, I'll readily admit that Chris Colfer has a very limited vocal range. His "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was spectacular, but his upper range....just no. It made "I'm the Greatest Star" almost unwatchable...and unlistenable.

Dream sequence.

ljay, Colfer is singing the Lorrell part. Badly.
And this is beyond words. So bizarre. I guess it was only a matter of time until Mercedes literally turned into Effie White.

I'm guessing that Rachel gets the Maria part in West Side Story and Mercedes snaps at having to play Officer Krupke?
And since they are doing WSS, is Santana going to audition for Anita?

Really, Glee? All these lyric changes make me want to slap everyone involved. And when will they realize they don't need Chris Colfer to sing all of the female parts. If they're going to do more showtunes they shouldn't change all the lyrics to fit the situation, it just does not work.

I could totally see this number being a dream sequence for Mercedes. She's like the only character in the show who has had a musical number that existed only in her head (Bust Your Windows), and the only other aspect of her personality that the writers have seen fit to elaborate on is that she hallucinates quite a bit.
What I am saying is that she's obviously a burgeoning schizophrenic.

And sorry, but "you're lying, you're lying ice never been so thin" really doesn't make much sense. She's a big girl and whoever that is telling her that she's "getting fatter all the time" should be punched, not sung at.

Glee has had enough time to decide whether it's trying to be campy or trying to be sincere. It needs to pick.
